Industrial manufacturing processes have transformative effects on the components of food matrix. These transformations in food matrix and components have direct implications for quality assurance (QA), food quality (e.g., nutritional profile and texture), and food safety management (e.g., pathogen control and toxin mitigation). ABSTRACT This systematic

Iron Chelation by Chlorogenic Acid as a Natural Antioxidant [PDF]
Chlorogenic acid, a dietary antioxidant, effectively inhibited the iron-induced lipid peroxidation of bovine liver microsomes in a concentration-dependent manner. In the Fenton-type reaction, chlorogenic acid inhibited the production of the hydroxyl radical by iron-EDTA or iron-ADP, while iron plus chlorogenic acid did not generate the hydroxyl radical.

This research provides a complete morphoanatomical description of Lysimachia nummularia, as well as a HPTLC profile. Standard techniques of light and scanning electron microscopies, as well as standard techniques of HPTLC, were used. ABSTRACT Primulaceae are distributed all over the world, encompassing around 2590 species.

Phenolic composition and multi‐target bioactivities of Globularia alypum extracts across seasons
Abstract Background This study investigates the influence of seasonal variation on the phytochemical profile and biofunctional activities of ethanolic leaf extracts from Globularia alypum. Leaves collected across four seasons were extracted with a hydroethanolic solvent (80:20, v/v) and analyzed by LC‐ESI‐MS/MS.

Optimizing germination and cultivation of edible halophytes using effluents from an IMTA system
Abstract BACKGROUND Halophytes offer nature‐based solutions to food insecurity and soil degradation, while their integration into integrated multi‐trophic aquaculture (IMTA) systems promotes circular economy practices. This study aimed to optimize the germination and cultivation of edible halophytic species, namely Limbarda crithmoides, Suaeda vera and
