On the distribution of caffeic acid and the chlorogenic acid isomers in plants
Archives of Biochemistry and Biophysics, 1958Abstract 1. 1. The silicic acid column technique described by Bulen et al. (9) has been used in a study of the distribution of caffeic acid and chlorogenic acid isomers in plants. Ultraviolet-absorption measurements and titration with alkali were used for the detection of these acids. 2. 2. Resolution into five bands was achieved.

Chlorogenic Acid of Lettuce Seeds
Nature, 1960THE high concentration of chlorogenic acid in lettuce seed has not previously been reported. Fig. 1 compares the ultra-violet absorption spectrum of a methanol solution of chlorogenic acid, 0.02 gm./l., with that of a methanol extract of 1 gm. of lettuce seed made up to 1 litre.
