Arylsulfatase B improves locomotor function after mouse spinal cord injury. [PDF]
Bacterial chondroitinase ABC (ChaseABC) has been used to remove the inhibitory chondroitin sulfate chains from chondroitin sulfate proteoglycans to improve regeneration after rodent spinal cord injury.

Metabolic labeling of nascent proteins in 3D microtissue spheroids provides a powerful analytical approach for large‐scale tissue engineering. Incorporation of non‐canonical amino acids with fluorescent tagging enables spatiotemporal investigation of extracellular matrix deposition and its evolution during multicellular tissue development and fusion ...

Technology and Properties of Chondroitin Sulfate from Marine Hydrobionts
Chondroitin sulfate was isolated from the cartilage tissue of salmon (Salmo salar), northern skate (Raja hyperborean) and black-shark (Galeus melastomus). The polysaccharide content is from 67.1% to 82.2% in the samples.

Bacteria‐Responsive Nanostructured Drug Delivery Systems for Targeted Antimicrobial Therapy
Bacteria‐responsive nanocarriers are designed to release antimicrobials only in the presence of infection‐specific cues. This selective activation ensures drug release precisely at the site of infection, avoiding premature or indiscriminate release, and enhancing efficacy.

THE OCCURRENCE OF INTRACELLULAR CHONDROITIN SULFATE [PDF]
Suspensions of chondrocytes were prepared by treatment with trypsin of the epiphyses of tibias and femurs of 13-day-old chick embryos. After washing to remove the matrix, such suspensions readily incorporate radioactive sulfate into both intracellular and extracellular chondroitin sulfate.

Brittlestars contain highly sulfated chondroitin sulfates/dermatan sulfates that promote fibroblast growth factor 2-induced cell signaling. [PDF]
Glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) isolated from brittlestars, Echinodermata class Ophiuroidea, were characterized, as part of attempts to understand the evolutionary development of these polysaccharides.
