Neuroprotection In Chronic Brain Ischemia: Clinical And Immunological Features

open access: yesEuropean Medical, Health and Pharmaceutical Journal, 2012
The influence of neuroprotectorcortexin with significant immunomodulating, anti-inflammatory, neurotrophic, and neuroprotective effects on subjective and neurological symptoms, as well as immunological parameters (IL-1β,TNF-a) in chronic brain ischemia is shown in the article.

White Matter Hyperintensity Burden and Short‐Interval Change Associated With Sleep Apnoea in the UK Biobank

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background and Purpose White matter hyperintensities (WMH) are a core neuroimaging marker of cerebral small vessel disease (CSVD). Sleep apnoea (SA) is a recognized vascular risk factor, but its associations with regional WMH burden, short‐interval WMH change and cognitive performance in population‐based cohorts remain incompletely defined. We

Influenza Vaccination Responses in Disabled Stroke Patients: A Single‐Center Prospective Observational Study

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective This study aimed to investigate the immunological response to influenza vaccination, the incidence and severity of influenza infection, and the side effects of the vaccination in patients with ischemic stroke. Methods This prospective observational study was conducted between 2023 and 2024 at Ramathibodi Hospital.

The Quantitative Analysis of 2-[18F]-A-85380 nAChRs Micro-PET Brain Imaging in Chronic Ischemic Rats with Cognitive Dysfunction in Vivo

open access: yesJournal of Isotopes, 2017
The change of 2-[18F]-A-85380 in chronic ischemia rats with cognitive dysfunction was evaluated by Micro-PET. Chronic cerebral ischemia rat model was made by bilateral common carotid artery ligation.

DIAGNOSTICS OF WALKING DISORDERS IN PATIENTS WITH HYPERTENSION AND CHRONIC BRAIN ISCHEMIA

open access: yes, 2023
The article presents examination data of patients with hypertension, chronic brain ischemia and Leriche's syndrome. It is noted that in patients with concomitant Leriche's syndrome, the process of dysfunction of the central nervous system is aggravated.

Recurrent Hypothermia and Autonomic Dysfunction Secondary to Shapiro Syndrome

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT A 44‐year‐old man presented with recurrent hypothermia, diaphoresis and hypertension. Extensive investigation for infectious, inflammatory, metabolic and endocrine aetiologies was negative. MR scan of the brain demonstrated no lesions but revealed callosal dysgenesis, consistent with Shapiro syndrome.

Empagliflozin demonstrates neuroprotective and cardioprotective effects by reducing ischemia/reperfusion damage in rat models of ischemic stroke and myocardial infarction

open access: yesScientific Reports
Sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitors have demonstrated potential neuroprotective and cardioprotective effects in preliminary studies. This study evaluates the efficacy of empagliflozin (EMPA) in reducing ischemia/reperfusion damage in both ...
