Effect of Temperature on Coenzymes Associated with Cytochrome P450 [PDF]
Cytochrome P450 are heme-containing enzymes that have been deemed to be the most active group of monooxygenases reaction. It is a self-sufficient protein whose activities rely on the various associated coenzymes.

The Structure of Formylmethanofuran: Tetrahydromethanopterin Formyltransferase in Complex with its Coenzymes. [PDF]
Formylmethanofuran:tetrahydromethanopterin formyltransferase is an essential enzyme in the one-carbon metabolism of methanogenic and sulfate-reducing archaea and of methylotrophic bacteria. The enzyme, which is devoid of a prosthetic group, catalyzes the

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Abstract An alkali-labile enzyme-coenzyme A intermediate has been isolated by molecular exclusion chromatography of succinyl-CoA-acetoacetate coenzyme A transferase after incubation with acetoacetyl-CoA or succinyl-CoA. Treatment of the intermediate with tritium-labeled sodium borohydride results in enzyme inactivation and incorporation of ...

BOFdat Step 2: Identifying and calculating the stoichiometric coefficients of coenzymes and inorganic ions. [PDF]
(A) Pie graphs of the percent dry weight accounted for before and after BOFdat Step 2. (B) The coenzymes found by BOFdat Step 2 are metabolites with a higher degree than the established threshold (S1 Text).

Of clocks and coenzymes in plants: intimately connected cycles guiding central metabolism? [PDF]
Plant fitness is a measure of the capacity of a plant to survive and reproduce in its particular environment. It is inherently dependent on plant health.

Inositol pyrophosphates are energy‐rich signaling molecules that perform critical functions in cells. Three different families of phosphatases hydrolyze the β phosphate of the inositol pyrophosphate molecules: two have narrow specificities and one is promiscuous.

The role of plant mitochondria in the biosynthesis of coenzymes. [PDF]
International audienceThis last decade, many efforts were undertaken to understand how coenzymes, including vitamins, are synthesized in plants. Surprisingly, these metabolic pathways were often "quartered" between different compartments of the plant ...
