Local rectification of heat flux

open access: yes, 2017
We present a chain-of-atoms model where heat is rectified, with different fluxes from the hot to the cold baths located at the chain boundaries when the temperature bias is reversed.

An Application of Analytic Hierarchy Process and Entropy Weight Method in Food Cold Chain Risk Evaluation Model

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology, 2022
The food cold chain is a special type of cold chain that refers to a system in which refrigerated and frozen food is always kept in the specified low-temperature environment in all links from production, storage, transportation, sales, distribution to ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Research on non-destructive detection of chilled meat quality based on hyperspectral technology combined with different data processing methods

open access: yesFrontiers in Nutrition
This study utilized hyperspectral technology in conjunction with chemometric methods for the non-destructive assessment of chilled meat quality. Average spectra were extracted from regions of interest within hyperspectral images and further optimized ...

Cold Chain Synergy of Chain Restaurant

open access: yesJournal of Economics and Public Finance, 2019
With the economic development and social progress, the modern catering industry represented by chain operation is gradually moving towards industrialization, chain operation, and modernization. The chain restaurant industry relies more on professional and efficient cold chain supply chain design and services. The cold chain supply chain system includes

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Effects of Glazing with Preservatives on the Quality Changes of Squid during Frozen Storage

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2019
This study aimed to investigate the effects of glazing with sodium polyacrylate (SP) and D-sodium erythorbate (DSE) on the quality changes of squid during frozen storage. Frozen squid samples were randomly divided into seven groups: (1) CK (unglazed); (2)

Isolation, Identification, and Biological Activity Analysis of Swim Bladder Polypeptides from Acipenser schrencki

open access: yesFoods, 2023
Swim bladder polypeptides (SBPs) of Acipenser schrencki were analyzed for their antioxidant activity and physicochemical properties. The results showed the optimal enzymatic conditions were alkaline protease with a solid-to-liquid ratio of 1:20, an ...
