Indirect Detection of Decaying Dark Matter with High Angular Resolution: The Case for Axion Search by IRCS on the Subaru Telescope

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
Recent advances in photon detectors have provided exceptional sensitivities to dark matter with high angular resolution. Motivated by this, we present a detailed study of photon flux from dark matter decay in dwarf spheroidal galaxies (dSphs) by focusing

Particle motion and QPOs around Euler-Heisenberg black hole immersed in cold dark matter halo

open access: yesNuclear Physics B
We explore the motion of particles in the vicinity of an Euler-Heisenberg black hole immersed in a cold dark matter halo, focusing on how the black hole parameters influence particle dynamics. This black hole solution is characterized by five parameters,

Search for Neutrino Mass and Dark Matter in Underground Experiments [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Search for the neutrino mass and for cold dark matter in the Universe are at present two of the most exciting fields of particle physics and cosmology.

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

Strongly-interacting ultralight millicharged particles

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2021
We consider the implications of an ultra-light fermionic dark matter candidate that carries baryon number. This naturally arises if dark matter has a small charge under standard model baryon number whilst having an asymmetry equal and opposite to that in

Gamma-rays From Warm WIMP Dark Matter Annihilation

open access: yes, 2012
The weakly interacting massive particle (WIMP) often serves as a candidate for the cold dark matter, however when produced non-thermally it could behave like warm dark matter.

Microlensing and Halo Cold Dark Matter

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 1995
We discuss the implications of the more than 50 microlensing events seen by the EROS, MACHO, and OGLE collaborations for the composition of the halo of our galaxy. The event rates indicate that the halo mass fraction in MACHO's is less than 30\%, consistent with expectations for a universe whose primary component is cold dark matter.

Large‐scale bidirectional arrayed genetic screens identify OXR1 and EMC4 as modifiers of αSynuclein aggregation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.
