Cuproptosis and Mitophagy Mediated by the THUMPD1/IGF2R‐Dependent Suppression of AKT and Activation of AMPK Signaling Suppress Lung Adenocarcinoma Progression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
THUMPD1 drives a tumor‐suppressive signaling cascade in lung adenocarcinoma by promoting IGF2R expression. IGF2R associates with PPP2R1A to suppress AKT and activate AMPK, leading to SLC31A1 upregulation and copper accumulation. Elevated copper disrupts mitochondrial metabolism and induces excessive mitophagy, thereby restraining tumor growth and ...

Pharmacologic Modulation of ARID3A with Rimegepant Reactivates Type I Interferon Signaling and Sensitizes Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer to PD‐1 Blockade

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies ARID3A as a key immunosuppressive transcription factor in TNBC. Its inhibition activates the type I IFN pathway, boosting CD8+ T cell infiltration and sensitizing tumors to anti‐PD‐1. The FDA‐approved migraine drug Rimegepant targets ARID3A, enhances immunotherapy efficacy in preclinical models, and establishes a druggable axis to

Echinococcus multilocularis Calreticulin Inhibits Lectin Pathway of Complement Activation by Directly Binding to Mannose-Binding Lectin

open access: yesPathogens
Alveolar Echinococcosis (AE) is a serious zoonotic disease caused by infection of Echinococcus multilocularis larvae. To survive within the host, E. multilocularis has developed a complex immune evasion mechanism including the inhibition of complement ...

UCHL3 Regulates Subgenomic Flaviviral RNA Condensates to Promote Virus Propagation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Flavivirus subgenomic RNAs (sfRNAs) antagonise antiviral defences, yet how sfRNAs are organized and maintained in cells remains poorly understood. Here we identify ubiquitin C‐terminal hydrolase L3 (UCHL3) as a post‐translational regulator of flavivirus sfRNA stability and function.

The Development and Pilot Clinical Study of CD147 Targeted Antagonistic Peptide Probe for Tumor Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study establishes [68Ga]Ga‐DOTA‐AP9 as a first‐in‐human CD147‐targeted PET tracer with favorable safety and specific tumor uptake. Tracer accumulation correlates with CD147 expression in patients, enabling noninvasive quantification of CD147‐positive malignancies.

Herpes simplex virus immune evasion from antibody and complement

open access: yes, 2006
Herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) evades immunity mediated by antibody and complement. HSV-1 glycoproteins E (gE) and I (gI) encode a viral IgG Fc receptor (vFcγR) that blocks functions mediated by IgG.

Praziquantel and factor H recruitment differentially affect the susceptibility of Schistosoma mansoni to complement-mediated damage

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology
BackgroundSchistosomes are highly efficient evaders of human immunity, as evident by their ability to survive in human blood for years. How they protect themselves against the constant attack by a key element of innate immunity, the complement system ...
