DMS‐MaPseq and DREEM Analyses Implicate the Critical Role of RNA Structural Dynamics in Turnip Yellow Mosaic Virus Pathogenicity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
RNA structural profiling of Turnip Yellow Mosaic Virus by DMS‐MaPseq and DREEM analyses uncover that viral genome‐wide RSS is highly complicated and heterogeneous, with alternative RSSs widely distributed across the genome. Notably, the viral 3’ tRNA‐like structure adopts alternative conformations in vivo.

Virtual Screening of the Indonesian Medicinal Plant and Zinc Databases for Potential Inhibitors of the RNA-Dependent RNA Polymerase (RdRp) of 2019 Novel Coronavirus

open access: yesIndonesian Journal of Chemistry, 2020
The novel coronavirus disease 19 (Covid-19) which is caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) has been a pandemic across the world, which necessitate the need for the antiviral drug discovery. One of the potential protein targets for coronavirus treatment is RNA-dependent RNA polymerase.

IRF‐1 modulates hepatic ferroptosis and aggravates liver ischemia/reperfusion injury via DYRK1α

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
IRF‐1 modulates hepatic ferroptosis and aggravates liver ischemia/reperfusion injury via DYRK1α. Abstract Background The purpose is to define the contribution of the interferon regulatory factor‐1–dual‐specificity tyrosine phosphorylation‐regulated kinase 1α (IRF‐1–DYRK1α) axis to hepatocellular ferroptosis during liver ischemia/reperfusion injury ...

Population pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic modelling to evaluate favipiravir in combination with lopinavir–ritonavir in patients with COVID‐19

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Aims The repurposed use of favipiravir in COVID‐19 has been reported to have limited clinical efficacy, yet it has been widely used in some countries. Favipiravir causes mutagenesis in RNA viruses, and it is currently unknown whether it may have a measurable effect on the virus in humans.
