A three‐dimensional model of corotating streams in the solar wind, 1. Theoretical foundations [PDF]
This paper is concerned with the development of the theoretical and mathematical background pertinent to the study of steady, corotating solar wind structure in all three spatial dimensions. The dynamical evolution of the plasma in interplanetary space (defined as the region beyond roughly 35 Rs where the flow is supersonic) is approximately described ...

Multispecies Energetic Particle Acceleration Associated with CIR and ICME-driven Shocks
A multispecies energetic particle intensity enhancement event at 1 au is analyzed. We identify this event as a corotating interaction region (CIR) structure that includes a stream interface (SI), a forward-reverse shock pair, and an embedded heliospheric

Dual process for improved recovery of essential oil and pectin from citrus waste
Abstract BACKGROUND Citrus essential oils (EO), particularly orange essential oil (OEO) and pectin, are high‐value chemical products widely used across various industries, including pharmaceuticals, food and beverages, detergents, and cosmetics. These compounds are present in the residual by‐products generated by juice production industries, and their ...

Solar-cycle variations of interaction regions: In-ecliptic observations from 1 to 5 AU [PDF]
We study a combined set of 97 interaction regions detected by Pioneers 10 and 11, Voyagers 1 and 2, and Ulysses from 1 to 5 AU during their respective journeys to Jupiter at different phases of the solar cycle.

Properties of Forbush Decreases with AMS-02 Daily Proton Flux Data
A Forbush decrease (FD) is a sudden reduction of Galactic Cosmic Rays (GCRs) that is usually caused by intense solar wind transients, such as Interplanetary Coronal Mass Ejections (ICMEs) and Corotating Interaction Regions (CIRs).

Pretreatment Effects of Conventional and Reactive Extrusion on LLDPE Waste Pyrolysis
Schematic overview of the pyrolysis study using original and pretreated LLDPE waste samples. Pretreatment was performed via twin‐screw extrusion at 450°C: without additives (REX), with peroxide (REX‐RO2), or with polypropylene (REX–PP). All four samples underwent pyrolysis at 450°C–475°C for 15–45 min.

Introduction to special section on corotating solar wind streams and recurrent geomagnetic activity
[1] This special section of the Journal of Geophysical Research (Space Physics) is devoted to research papers on corotating solar wind streams, corotating interaction regions (CIRs), and many facets of the associated recurrent geomagnetic storms and/or activity.

Evolution of Electron Acceleration by Corotating Interaction Region Shocks at 1 au
We present the first observations of in situ electron acceleration at corotating interaction region (CIR) shocks near 1 au, utilizing measurements from Wind and Magnetospheric Multiscale (MMS) mission in the interplanetary medium. As the forward (reverse)

Deterministic Propagation of Suprathermal Ions Through the Heliosphere
Abstract The PEPSSI instrument onboard New Horizons is sampling the energy range that bridges pickup and suprathermal He+ ${\mathrm{H}\mathrm{e}}^{+}$ ions for the first time in the outer heliosphere. New Horizons repeatedly encountered structures beyond 30 au that we interpret as the spiral of a corotating interaction region (CIR) for an extended ...
