Prediction of benzodiazepines solubility using different cosolvency models

open access: yesIl Farmaco, 2002
The solubility of four benzodiazepines (BZPs) including diazepam (DIZ), lorazepam (LRZ) clonazepam (CLZ), and chlordiazepoxide (CHZ) in water-cosolvent (ethanol propylene glycol and polyethylene glycol 200) binary systems were studied. In general, increasing the volume fraction of cosolvents resulted in an increase in the solubility of benzodiazepines.

A general model from theoretical cosolvency models

International Journal of Pharmaceutics, 1997
It has been shown that the two theoretical cosolvency models, i.e. the excess free energy, EFE, and the combined nearly ideal binary solvent/Redlich-Kister, CNIBS/R-K, despite different appearances could be converted to a general single model, GSM, using some appropriate substitutions and rearrangements.

Equilibrium Solubility Determination and Modeling of Fenbendazole in Cosolvent Mixtures at (283.15–328.15) K

open access: yesJournal of Chemical & Engineering Data, 2019
Four liquid mixtures formed by mixing water and four organic solvents (methanol, ethanol, ethylene glycol, and N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF)) in different ratios were used as solvents, and fenbendazo...
