Drug Solubility Correlation Using the Jouyban–Acree Model: Effects of Concentration Units and Error Criteria

open access: yesMolecules, 2022
An important factor affecting the model accuracy is the unit expression type for solute and solvent concentrations. One can report the solute and solvent concentration in various units and compare them with various error scales.

Calculation of the Viscosity of Binary Liquids at Various Temperatures Using Jouyban-Acree Model

open access: yesChemical and Pharmaceutical Bulletin, 2005
Applicability of the Jouyban-Acree model for calculating absolute viscosity of binary liquid mixtures with respect to temperature and mixture composition is proposed. The correlation ability of the model is evaluated by employing viscosity data of 143 various aqueous and non-aqueous liquid mixtures at various temperatures collected from the literature.

Densities, Viscosities, Refractive Indices and Sound Speeds of Acetophenone with Methylacetate at Different Temperatures

open access: yesE-Journal of Chemistry, 2012
Densities, viscosities, refractive indices and ultrasonic velocities of the binary mixtures of Acetophenone with Methyl acetate were measured over the entire mole fractions at (303.15, 313.15 and 323.15) K.

Solubility Prediction of Drugs in Water-Polyethylene Glycol 400 Mixtures Using Jouyban-Acree Model

open access: yesChemical and Pharmaceutical Bulletin, 2006
A numerical method is proposed for predicting solubility of drugs in water-PEG 400 mixtures based on the Jouyban-Acree cosolvency model. The accuracy of the proposed method is evaluated by computing mean percentage deviation (MPD) and compared with that of log-linear model of Yalkowsky.

Solubility of naproxen in ethyl acetate+ethanol mixtures at several temperatures and correlation with the Jouyban–Acree model

open access: yesFluid Phase Equilibria, 2012
Abstract By using the van’t Hoff and Gibbs equations the thermodynamic functions Gibbs energy, enthalpy, and entropy of solution and of mixing of naproxen (NAP) in some ethyl acetate + ethanol mixtures were evaluated from solubility data determined at several temperatures.

Volumetric properties of the glycerol formal + water cosolvent system and correlation with the Jouyban–Acree model

open access: yesPhysics and Chemistry of Liquids, 2012
Excess molar volumes and partial molar volumes were investigated from density measurements for glycerol formal + water mixtures at temperatures from 278.15 to 313.15 K. Excess molar volumes are fitted using Redlich–Kister equation and compared with literature values for other systems.

Predicting Solubility of Anthracene in Non-aqueous Solvent Mixtures Using a Combination of Jouyban-Acree and Abraham Models

open access: yesChemical and Pharmaceutical Bulletin, 2006
Quantitative structure property relationships were proposed to calculate the binary interaction terms of the Jouyban-Acree model using coefficients of Abraham solvational models. The applicability of the proposed methods for reproducing solubility data of anthracene in binary solvents has been evaluated using 56 solubility data sets collected from the ...

Volumetric Properties of Glycerol Formal + Propylene Glycol Mixtures at Several Temperatures and Correlation with the Jouyban–Acree Model

open access: yesJournal of Solution Chemistry, 2012
Molar volumes, excess molar volumes, and partial molar volumes were investigated for glycerol formal + propylene glycol mixtures from density measurements at temperatures from (278.15 to 313.15) K. Mixture compositions were varied in 0.05 in mass fraction of both components.
