Investigation of solid–liquid equilibrium and thermodynamic models of D-Tagatose in mono-solvents and binary solvents

open access: yesChemical Thermodynamics and Thermal Analysis, 2022
As a rare sugar, D-Tagatose is regarded as an excellent low-energy food sweetener. It is especially beneficial for physical health, such as inhibiting hyperglycemia, improving intestinal flora, and avoiding caries.

Correlating the solubility of indomethacin in 1,4-dioxane + water mixtures by means of the Jouyban-Acree model

open access: yes, 2010
In this work the validity of the Jouyban-Acree and Yalkowsky-Roseman models is evaluated to correlate the solubility of indomethacin in 1,4-dioxane + water cosol- vent mixtures. The solubility correlation is studied as a function of temperature and cosolvent composition.

Expanding the Equilibrium Solubility and Dissolution Thermodynamics of Benzoic Acid in Aqueous Alcoholic Mixtures

open access: yesReactions, 2022
The equilibrium solubility of benzoic acid in water and ethanol, as well as in nine {ethanol (1) + water (2)} mixtures, was determined from T = (293.15 to 323.15) K. Benzoic acid mole fraction solubility in these aqueous-ethanolic mixtures was adequately

Review of the cosolvency models for predicting solubility of drugs in water-cosolvent mixtures

open access: yesJournal of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences, 2008
The cosolvency models presented from 1960 to 2007 were reviewed and their accuracies for correlating and/or predicting the solubility of drugs in water-cosolvent mixtures were discussed.

Surface Tension Calculation of Mixed Solvents with Respect to Solvent Composition and Temperature by Using Jouyban-Acree Model

open access: yesChemical and Pharmaceutical Bulletin, 2004
Applicability of a solution model, i.e. Jouyban-Acree model (JAM), for calculating surface tension of binary and ternary solvents at various temperatures has been shown employing experimental surface tension data collected from the literature. The accuracy of the model was evaluated by calculating average percentage deviation (APD) between calculated ...

Viscosities, Free Energies of Activation and their Excess Properties in the Binary Mixtures of Some Monoalkanolamines with Acetonitrile between 303.15 and 323.15 K: Experimental and Correlative Approach

open access: yesJournal of Applied Science & Process Engineering, 2022
Viscosities (h) of three binary non-aqueous systems of ACN + MEA, + MMEA and + MEEA have been measured in the whole range of compositions at temperatures ranging between 303.15 and 323.15 K at an interval of 5 K. At different compositions, deviations in

Prediction of drug solubility in ethanol-ethyl acetate mixtures at various temperatures using the Jouyban-Acree model [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Drug Delivery Science and Technology, 2007
The profile of twenty-six solubility data sets in ethanol-ethyl acetate mixtures at various temperatures were reproduced using a trained version of the Jouyban-Acree model. The mean percentage deviation between predicted and observed solubilities was 13.1%.

Further Numerical Analyses on the Solubility of Sulfapyridine in Ethanol + Water Mixtures

open access: yesPharmaceutical Sciences, 2016
Background: Dissolution thermodynamic quantities of sulfapyridine (SP) have been reported in the literature for aqueous alcoholic mixtures. Nevertheless, no attempts to evaluate the preferential solvation of this drug in this binary system, have been ...
