Mutation dynamics of CpG dinucleotides during a recent event of vertebrate diversification

open access: yesEpigenetics, 2019
DNA methylation in CpGs dinucleotides is associated with high mutability and disappearance of CpG sites during evolution. Although the high mutability of CpGs is thought to be relevant for vertebrate evolution, very little is known on the role of CpG ...

HPLC-MS method development and validation for simultaneous quantitation of GZK-111 and CPG compounds in rat plasma

open access: yesФармакокинетика и Фармакодинамика, 2020
The technique of quantitative determination of GZK-111 and CPG compounds in rat blood plasma has been developed. The analysis was carried out using the combined method of high-performance liquid chromatography with mass spectrometric detection.

Review: CPG as a controller for biomimetic floating robots [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2021
All vertebrates are capable of performing various types of physical activity. Locomotor patterns are created by the cyclical coordinated work of the skeletal muscles. The organization of such a system in living organisms is responsible for networks of interconnected populations of neurons capable of forming rhythmic activity - CPG.

Epigenome‐wide association study, meta‐analysis, and multiscore profiling of whole blood in Parkinson's disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
Abstract Objectives An increasing body of evidence indicates altered DNA methylation in Parkinson's disease, yet the reproducibility and utility of such methylation changes are largely unexplored. We aimed to further elucidate the role of dysregulated DNA methylation in Parkinson's disease and to evaluate the biomarker potential of methylation‐based ...

Diffusive Mass Transfer and Gaussian Pressure Transient Solutions for Porous Media

open access: yesFluids, 2021
This study revisits the mathematical equations for diffusive mass transport in 1D, 2D and 3D space and highlights a widespread misconception about the meaning of the regular and cumulative probability of random-walk solutions for diffusive mass transport.

Inorganic Nanomaterials Meet the Immune System: An Intricate Balance

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Metal nanomaterials influence the immune responses, such as cytokine production and T‐cell activity. Unintended immune modulation can have significant consequences while its fine‐tuning may transform the oncology care. Within this review, a critical analysis is offered regarding the nano/immune‐interaction and suggests the future research directions to

Adjuvant Activity of CpG Oligodeoxynucleotides [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Reviews of Immunology, 2006
Synthetic oligodeoxynucleotides (ODNs) containing unmethylated CpG motifs directly stimulate human B cells and plasmacytoid dendritic cells (pDCs), thereby promoting the production of Th1 and proinflammatory cytokines and the maturation/activation of professional antigen-presenting cells.

Immunopharmacology of CpG Oligodeoxynucleotides and Ribavirin [PDF]

open access: yesAntimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy, 2004
ABSTRACT To investigate their potential mechanisms of action, the nucleoside analogue ribavirin and a TLR9 agonist were compared. The CpG oligodeoxynucleotides (ODN) demonstrated strong TLR9-related Th1-type effects, and ribavirin appeared only to mediate signaling in TLR-transfected cells.
