Targeting aerobic glycolysis combats tyrosine kinase inhibitor resistance of hepatocellular carcinoma

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, Volume 158, Issue 3, Page 475-487, 1 February 2026.
Abstract Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) represents the predominant form of primary liver cancer and is frequently identified at a late stage, necessitating systemic therapy. However, resistance to first‐line tyrosine kinase inhibitor therapies, such as sorafenib and lenvatinib, remains a significant clinical challenge.

Effects of Differential Commercial Husbandry Conditions on the Tasmanian Atlantic Salmon Egg Transcriptome

open access: yesAquaculture, Fish and Fisheries, Volume 5, Issue 5, October 2025.
ABSTRACT Maternally inherited transcripts are crucial for the developmental competence of salmon embryos. Due to the wide variety of broodstock conditioning approaches used in commercial aquaculture, there is a need to understand how dynamic commercial environments impact the egg transcriptome and subsequent quality.

Differential effects of age and sex on tau pathology propagation in the htau mouse model: A neuropathological and proteomic study

open access: yesAlzheimer's &Dementia, Volume 21, Issue 10, October 2025.
Abstract INTRODUCTION Aging is the main risk factor for Alzheimer's disease (AD), acting through still poorly understood mechanisms. AD is associated with the development of a tau pathology, a hallmark lesion propagating in the brain along neuroanatomically connected pathways.

Table_5_Suppression of CPSF6 Enhances Apoptosis Through Alternative Polyadenylation-Mediated Shortening of the VHL 3′UTR in Gastric Cancer Cells.XLSX

open access: yes, 2021
Alternative polyadenylation (APA) is an important RNA post-transcriptional process, which can generate diverse mRNA isoforms. Increasing evidence shows that APA is involved in cell self-renewal, development, immunity, and cancer. CPSF6 is one of the core

Alternative Polyadenylation Contributes to Fibroblast Senescence in Pulmonary Fibrosis

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 24, Issue 10, October 2025.
In aging or fibrotic fibroblasts, NUDT21 is downregulated, leading to alternative polyadenylation/3′ UTR shortening of STAT3 pathway genes, enhancing their protein expression and promoting STAT3 phosphorylation. Activated STAT3 signaling subsequently drives the expression and release of senescence‐associated secretory phenotype (SASP) factors, thereby ...

Emerging Roles of Biomolecular Condensates in Pre‐mRNA 3′ End Processing

open access: yesWIREs RNA, Volume 16, Issue 4, July/August 2025.
Pre‐mRNA 3′ end processing factors can self‐assemble into biomolecular condensates that fine‐tune pre‐mRNA cleavage and polyadenylation, and their misregulation underlies disease. Nuclear speckles and histone locus bodies spatially compartmentalize distinct 3′ end reactions to ensure efficient gene expression control.

Genomic Prediction and Genome‐Wide Association Studies for Productivity, Conformation and Heat Tolerance Traits in Tropical Smallholder Dairy Cows

open access: yesJournal of Animal Breeding and Genetics, Volume 142, Issue 3, Page 322-341, May 2025.
ABSTRACT Genomic selection (GS) and genome‐wide association studies (GWAS) have not been investigated in Vietnamese dairy cattle, even for basic milk production traits, largely due to the scarcity of individual phenotype recording in smallholder dairy farms (SDFs).
