Critical groups having central monoliths of a nilpotent by abelian product variety of groups
Let N \mathfrak {N} be a variety of groups which has nilpotency class two and finite odd exponent. Let A \mathfrak {A} be an abelian variety of groups with finite exponent relatively prime to ...

Multiple solutions to asymmetric semilinear elliptic problems via Morse theory
In this article we study the existence of solutions to the problem $$\displylines{ -\Delta u = g(x,u) \quad \text{in } \Omega; \cr u = 0 \quad\text{on } \partial\Omega, }$$ where $\Omega$ is a smooth bounded domain in $\mathbb{R}^N$ $(N\geq 2)$

Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an

Reconstructing enzyme evolution by protein engineering
Natural enzyme evolution can be retraced by protein engineering methods such as directed evolution, rational design, and ancestral sequence reconstruction. These approaches reveal how enzymes emerged from ligand‐binding scaffolds, developed varying substrate preferences, formed oligomeric complexes, adapted to environmental changes, and evolved novel ...

Students' views of learning mathematics in collaborative small groups
Approaches to mathematics teaching which offer an alternative to stating facts and demonstrating procedures have been criticised for undermining the base for teachers’ sense of their own effectiveness.

Significant events in ward based reflective practice groups [PDF]
Reflective Practice (RP) is viewed as central to developing a mental health workforce equipped to deal with the challenges of modern service delivery. There is no single definition of what constitutes RP and the term is used to describe thinking about ...

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.
