Investigating the impacts of adverse road-weather conditions on saturation headway

open access: yes, 2022
Adverse road-weather (RW) conditions may deteriorate traffic operations and safety at intersections due to reduced capacity, frequent collisions, and increased traffic emissions.

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

Developing patriotism in Vietnam during the period of to boosting industrialisation, modernisation

open access: yesTạp chí Khoa học Đại học Mở Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh - Khoa học Xã hội, 2014

Development of Real-Time Optimal Bus Scheduling and Headway Control Models

open access: yes, 2009
Infrequent bus service because of a sudden rise in international gas prices has created a significant social problem in South Korea. Bus service frequency is determined by considering bus operation costs to the service supplier, passenger demand, and so ...

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

A Vehicle Conflict Risk Identification Method Based on an Improved Intelligent Driver Model

open access: yesApplied Sciences
With accelerating urbanization, vehicle conflict risk identification has become a critical research focus for improving road traffic safety. To address the discrepancies between microscopic traffic simulation outputs and real-world traffic flow ...

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Analysis of Position Error Headway Protection

open access: yes
DOT-TSC-421An analysis is developed to determine safe headway on PRT systems that use point-follower control. Periodic measurements of the position error relative to a nominal trajectory provide warning against the hazards of overspeed and unexpected ...

Behavioural compensation by drivers of a simulator when using a vision enhancement system

open access: yes, 2000
Technological progress is suggesting dramatic changes to the tasks of the driver, with the general aim of making driving environment safer. Before any of these technologies are implemented, empirical research is required to establish if these devices do,

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.
