Research of the Single Crystal and Multilayer Composite Detectors Response Under Irradiation by Fast Neutrons

open access: yesEast European Journal of Physics, 2019
The object of this work was to study the response of the detectors based on the oxide scintillators under irradiation by a flux of fast neutrons from 239Pu-Be source by counting photomultiplier tube pulses.

Crystallization of microporous crystals [PDF]

open access: yesChinese Science Bulletin, 2015
Zeolites and related microporous crystalline materials have been widely used as ion-exchangers in detergent industry, catalysts in petrochemical and chemical industry, and adsorbents in air separation by pressure swing adsorption. Its crystallization mechanism has been an important issue in zeolite field.

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

The neural crest‐associated gene ERRFI1 is involved in melanoma progression and resistance toward targeted therapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.

Impact of starting alumina powders on densification peculiarities of reactive-sintered YAG:Sm3+ ceramics

open access: yesOpen Ceramics
YAG:Sm3+ (5 at.%) transparent ceramics have been obtained by reactive sintering using different starting Al2O3 powders. Effect of particle size in the 100–400 nm range, morphology and dispersity of starting alumina powders on the properties of YAG:Sm3 ...

Improved superlensing in two-dimensional photonic crystals with a basis

open access: yes, 2004
We study propagation of light in square and hexagonal two-dimensional photonic crystals. We show, that slabs of these crystals focus light with subwavelength resolution.

Cytoplasmic p21 promotes stemness of colon cancer cells via activation of the NFκB pathway

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytoplasmic p21 promotes colorectal cancer stem cell (CSC) features by destabilizing the NFκB–IκB complex, activating NFκB signaling, and upregulating BCL‐xL and COX2. In contrast to nuclear p21, cytoplasmic p21 enhances spheroid formation and stemness transcription factor CD133.

Laser ablation and photostimulated passivation of the surface of Cd1–хZnхTe crystals

open access: yesТехнологія та конструювання в електронній апаратурі, 2011
A new physical method of Cd1–хZnхTe-detectors passivation is proposed — the treatment of crystal surface by a laser ablation (LA) with subsequent photostimulated passivation (PhSP), during wich a high-resistance oxide layer is formed on it’s surface ...
