Differential activity of pro-angiogenic CXC chemokines [PDF]

open access: yesMicrovascular Research, 2010
We showed previously in a mouse model of lung ischemia-induced angiogenesis, enhanced expression of the three ELR+ CXC chemokines (KC, LIX, and MIP-2) and that blockade of the ligand receptor CXCR(2) limited neovascularization. The present study was undertaken to determine the relative abundance and angiogenic potential of the three CXC chemokines and ...

CCL26‐Mediated Modulation of Endothelial Secretome by Hypoxia‐Induced Tumor‐Derived Exosomes Enhances Metastatic Progression in Head and Neck Cancer

open access: yesHead &Neck, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Tumor cells adapt to hypoxia by releasing hiTDExs enriched with bioactive molecules that modulate endothelial behavior and promote tumor progression. This study aimed to characterize how hypoxia‐induced HNSCC exosomes reshape the endothelial secretome and contribute to metastatic potential.

Proinflammatory chemokines in the development of systemic organ-specific sensitization in infectious corneal ulcers

open access: yesРоссийский офтальмологический журнал, 2020
Purpose. The aim is to estimate the content of proinflammatory chemokines (CXCL1/GRO-α CXCL8/IL-8, CXCL10/IP-10, CXCL12/ SDF-1α, CCL2/MCP-1, CCL3/MIP-1α, CCL4/MIP-1β, CCL5/RANTES, CCL11/Eotaxin) in blood serum in corneal ulcers and their relationship to ...

Research progress on the role of inflammatory mediators in the pathogenesis of epilepsy

open access: yesIbrain, Volume 11, Issue 1, Page 44-58, Spring 2025.
In the central nervous system, activated immune cells lead to the overproduction of inflammatory mediators through the corresponding signal pathway. Under the stimulation of inflammatory factors, neuroinflammation ultimately occurs. Overexpression of inflammatory mediators and activated immunocytes plays an important role in the emergence and ...

The Role of CXCR3 and Associated Chemokines in the Development of Atherosclerosis and During Myocardial Infarction

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2018
The chemokine receptor CXCR3 and associated CXC chemokines have been extensively investigated in several inflammatory and autoimmune diseases as well as in tumor development.

Decidual macrophage‐mediated ferroptosis in trophoblasts leads to recurrent spontaneous abortion

open access: yesiMeta, EarlyView.
Decidual macrophages from recurrent spontaneous abortion (RSA) patients promote trophoblast ferroptosis and impair trophoblast cell function. Mechanistically, the CXCL2/NF‐κB/HMOX1 axis mediates this effect. Conversely, trophoblasts co‐cultured with RSA decidual macrophages induce pro‐inflammatory macrophage polarization through IL‐6/JAK2/STAT3 ...

The Endothelial CXCR Family in Vascular Health and Disease

open access: yesiNew Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Endothelial cells (ECs) form the dynamic interface between blood and tissue, serving as key regulators of vascular homeostasis, inflammation, and repair. Among the molecular systems governing endothelial behavior, the C‐X‐C motif chemokine receptor (CXCR) family—originally characterized in immunology for its roles in leukocyte trafficking and ...

Chemokines CCL3/MIP1α, CCL5/RANTES and CCL18/PARC are independent risk predictors of short-term mortality in patients with acute coronary syndromes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Cytokines play an important role in ischemic injury and repair. However, little is known about their prognostic value in cardiovascular disease. The aim of this study was to investigate the prognostic importance of chemokines CCL3/MIP-1α, CCL5/RANTES and

Black phosphorus‐based photothermal disruption of cancer‐associated fibroblast barriers and tumor‐associated macrophage targeting to enhance anti‐PD‐L1 immunotherapy in triple‐negative breast cancer

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Medicine, EarlyView.
MBB modulates the TNBC tumor microenvironment by targeting TAM/CXCL1 and facilitates anti‐PD‐L1 therapy by disrupting CAF barriers via its photothermal effect. This combined strategy subsequently enhances the efficacy of PD‐L1 mAb and suppresses TNBC progression, metastasis, and recurrence.
