Total Synthesis of the Cyclic Depsipeptide YM-280193, a Platelet Aggregation Inhibitor

open access: yesOrganic Letters, 2015
The first total synthesis of YM-280193, a cyclic depsipeptide that inhibits the ADP-induced aggregation of human platelets, is described. The monomer and dipeptide fragments were prepared using conventional chemistry and subsequently assembled by Fmoc-solid-phase peptide synthesis (Fmoc-SPPS).

Ionophoric Activity of Cyclic Depsipeptides from Beauveria bassiana

open access: yes, 2022
Beauvericin and bassianolide are cyclodepsipeptides produced as secondary metabolites by the fungus Beauveria bassiana. Depsipeptides are molecules of high interest, since some of them show high potential for pharmaceutical applications.

Elucidation of novel turnagainolides and their biosynthetic gene cluster in Bacillus subtilis

open access: yesApplied and Environmental Microbiology
Turnagainolides represent a unique class of cyclic depsipeptides characterized by the presence of a rare (E)-3-hydroxy-5-phenylpent-4-enoic acid (Hppa) residue, exhibiting diverse bioactivities.

Synthesis of conformationally restricted cyclic pentadepsipeptides via direct amide cyclization

open access: yes, 2001
The 2,2-disubstituted 2H-azirin-3-amines 6 (3-amino-2H-azirines) were used as building blocks for alpha,alpha-disubstituted alpha-amino acids in the preparation of 16-membered cyclic depsipeptides 14.

Marine Tunicate, the Electuary of Mithridates

open access: yesIranian South Medical Journal, 2015
Tunicates are a large group of marine animals and have been named “tunicate” because of cellosic outer covering called a tunic. They are divided into four major classes of the ascidians, thaliaceans, appendicularians and Sorberacea. Ascidians

Mirabamides A–D, Depsipeptides from the Sponge Siliquariaspongia mirabilis That Inhibit HIV-1 Fusion

open access: yes, 2016
Four new cyclic depsipeptides termed mirabamides A–D (1–4) have been isolated from the marine sponge Siliquariaspongia mirabilis and shown to potently inhibit HIV-1 fusion.
