Harnessing the multidimensional bioactivity of Chaetomorpha aerea: Integrative phytochemical profiling with in vitro, in vivo, and in silico insights

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
This study revealed the antioxidant, anti‐inflammatory, and antidiabetic potentials of the seaweed Chaetomortpha aerea using in vitro, in vivo, and in silico approaches along with phytochemical analysis using gas chromatography–mass spectrometry. ADME/T analysis was also carried out to confirm drug likeness and toxicity prediction.

Effects of g-hexachlorocyclohexane and L-3,3',5- triiodothyronine on rat liver cytochrome P4502E1- dependent activity and content in relation to microsomal superoxide radical generation

open access: yesBiological Research, 2003
Liver microsomal cytochrome P4502E1-dependent p-nitrophenol (PNP) hydroxylation and expression of cytochrome P4502E1 were studied in rats subjected to g-hexachlorocyclohexane (HCCH) or L-3,3,,5-triiodothyronine (T3) administration as a possible mechanism

Intensive Production of Carboxylic Acids Using C. butyricum in a Membrane Bioreactor (MBR)

open access: yesFermentation, 2018
This work reports on the use of a bench-scale chemostat (CSTR) in continuous mode and of a pilot-scale membrane bioreactor (MBR) in fed-batch mode to intensively produce acetic and butyric acids using C. butyricum grown on synthetic media.

A companion to the preclinical common data elements and case report forms for neuropathology studies in epilepsy research. A report of the TASK3 WG2 Neuropathology Working Group of the ILAE/AES Joint Translational Task Force

open access: yesEpilepsia Open, EarlyView., 2022
Abstract The International League Against Epilepsy/American Epilepsy Society (ILAE/AES) Joint Translational Task Force initiated the TASK3 working group to create common data elements (CDEs) for various aspects of preclinical epilepsy research studies, which could help improve the standardization of experimental designs.

Current trends in drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Pharmacokinetics (PK) is the study of the absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion (ADME) processes of a drug. Understanding PK properties is essential for drug development and precision medication.

P450BM3-Catalyzed Oxidations Employing Dual Functional Small Molecules [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
A set of dual functional small molecules (DFSMs) containing different amino acids has been synthesized and employed together with three different variants of the cytochrome P450 monooxygenase P450BM3 from Bacillus megaterium in H2O2-dependent oxidation

Characterization and expression of the cytochrome P450 gene family in diamondback moth, Plutella xylostella (L.)

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2015
Cytochrome P450 monooxygenases are present in almost all organisms and can play vital roles in hormone regulation, metabolism of xenobiotics and in biosynthesis or inactivation of endogenous compounds.

Metabolism of 2,2',3,3',6,6'-hexachlorobiphenyl (PCB 136) atropisomers in tissue slices from phenobarbital or dexamethasone-induced rats is sex-dependent. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
1. Chiral polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) such as PCB 136 enantioselectively sensitize the ryanodine receptor (RyR). In light of recent evidence that PCBs cause developmental neurotoxicity via RyR-dependent mechanisms, this suggests that ...
