Optimization of self-nano emulsifying drug delivery system of rifampicin for nebulization using cinnamon oil as oil phase

open access: yesPharmaciana
Lung delivery can overcome the problems related to the effectiveness of tuberculosis treatment by increasing the drug concentration at the target site. Rifampicin as the first-line antibiotic for tuberculosis has low water solubility and is unstable in ...

A cochleate formulation optimized by D-optimal mixture design enhances oral bioavailability of Revaprazan

open access: yesJournal of Liposome Research, 2023
A cochleate formulation was developed to enhance the oral bioavailability of revaprazan (RVP). Dimyristoyl phosphatidylcholine (DMPC) liposome containing dicetyl phosphate (DCP) successfully formed a cochleate after treatment with CaCl2, whereas that containing sodium deoxycholate did not.

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Optimasi HPMC K15M, Karbopol 940, dan Propilen Glikol pada Formula Nanoemulgel Naringenin Metode D-Optimal Mixture Design

open access: yes, 2022
Naringenin is a flavanone from citrus fruit which has antioxidant activity which has low bioavailability in water. The way to increase the bioavailability of naringenin is to create a SNEDDS delivery system. Nanoemulsion preparations are considered to be

Structural instability impairs function of the UDP‐xylose synthase 1 Ile181Asn variant associated with short‐stature genetic syndrome in humans

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Optimization of spicy red pepper paste (Awaze) formulation by D‐optimal mixture design

open access: yesFood Science & Nutrition, 2023
AbstractThe aim of this study was to produce spicy red pepper paste (Awaze) by addition of various sources of antioxidant, mineral, and fiber and optimize better processing methods of the paste. For this purpose, D‐optimal mixture design was used, Awaze considering color value (a*), antioxidant content, mineral content, fiber content, chewiness, and ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.
