ABSTRACT A group of seven juvenile California mountain kingsnakes, Lampropeltis zonata multicincta, developed severe acute gastroenteritis characterized by emesis, dehydration and sudden death. Histopathology demonstrated segmental mucosal necrosis and hyperplasia, villus blunting and fusion.
