Advanced Oral Delivery Systems for Nutraceuticals

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Emerging delivery technologies are explored to overcome barriers to oral nutraceutical absorption. Traditional carriers are compared with novel platforms including biodegradable polymers, MOFs, MPNs, and 3D printing. These systems enhance bioavailability, control release, and enable personalized nutrition.

Specific dietary carbohydrates differentially influence the life span and fecundity of Drosophila melanogaster.

open access: yesThe journals of gerontology. Series A, Biological sciences and medical sciences, 2014
The fruit fly, Drosophila melanogaster is a broadly used model for gerontological research. Many studies are dedicated to understanding nutritional effects on ageing; however, the influence of dietary carbohydrate type and dosage is still poorly ...

Insect‐Microbe‐Based Laccase: Untapped Natural Resource for Industrial and Biotechnological Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Sustainable Systems, EarlyView.
The insect‐microbe interplay fulfills a key ecological role involving the degradation of ligninocellulose biomass. This is coordinated by the secretion of different kinds of proteins, of which ligninolytic enzymes, such as laccases (Lacs), are of prime importance.

Sucrose and starch intake contribute to reduced alveolar bone height in a rodent model of naturally occurring periodontitis.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2019
While there is a burgeoning interest in the effects of nutrition on systemic inflammatory diseases, how dietary macronutrient balance impacts local chronic inflammatory diseases in the mouth has been largely overlooked.

Lecithin Alleviates Memory Deficits and Muscle Attenuation in Chinese Older Adults and SAMP8 Mice

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study opens a new avenue for safeguarding cognition and muscle health, averting disability in older age, and treating age‐related pathologies through lecithin supplementation. It serves as a promising nonpharmacological intervention for the crosstalk of muscle and cognition.
