Active vibration control of vehicle suspension systems using sliding modes, differential flatness and generalized proportional-integral control

open access: yesRevista Facultad de Ingeniería Universidad de Antioquia, 2012
This paper presents a design approach of robust active vibration control schemes for vehicle suspension systems using differential flatness, sliding modes and Generalized Proportional-Integral control techniques to attenuate undesirable vibrations ...

Geometry and flatness of m-crane systems [PDF]

open access: yesBulletin of the Polish Academy of Sciences: Technical Sciences, 2019
We propose a class of m-crane control systems, that generalizes two- and three-dimensional crane systems. We prove that each representant of the described class is feedback equivalent to the second order chained form with drift.

Perception-aware time optimal path parameterization for quadrotors

open access: yes, 2020
The increasing popularity of quadrotors has given rise to a class of predominantly vision-driven vehicles. This paper addresses the problem of perception-aware time optimal path parametrization for quadrotors.

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

An Optimal Integrated Control Scheme for Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator-Based Wind Turbines under Asymmetrical Grid Fault Conditions

open access: yesEnergies, 2016
In recent years, the increasing penetration level of wind energy into power systems has brought new issues and challenges. One of the main concerns is the issue of dynamic response capability during outer disturbance conditions, especially the fault ...

Flatness‐based control for steam‐turbine power generation units using a disturbance observer

open access: yesIET Electric Power Applications, 2021
Steam‐turbine power plants still supply a significant part of the electric power consumed worldwide. The viability of steam turbine power units depends on their efficiency to a great extent and the control method applied to the them is of major ...

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

Quadcopter Trajectory Tracking Control Based on Flatness Model Predictive Control and Neural Network

open access: yesActuators
In this paper, a novel control architecture is proposed in which FMPC couples feedback from model predictive control with feedforward linearization. The proposed approach has the computational advantage of only requiring a convex quadratic program to be ...

Computationally Efficient Trajectory Optimization for Linear Control Systems with Input and State Constraints

open access: yes, 2012
This paper presents a trajectory generation method that optimizes a quadratic cost functional with respect to linear system dynamics and to linear input and state constraints.

Optimal control of differentially flat systems is surprisingly easy

open access: yesAutomatica
As we move to increasingly complex cyber-physical systems (CPS), new approaches are needed to plan efficient state trajectories in real-time. In this paper, we propose an approach to significantly reduce the complexity of solving optimal control problems for a class of CPS with nonlinear dynamics.
