Linear-quadratic-singular stochastic differential games and applications
Decisions in Economics and Finance, 2023We consider a class of non-cooperative N-player nonzero-sum stochastic differential games with singular controls, in which each player can affect a linear stochastic differential equation in order to minimize a cost functional which is quadratic in the ...

In this paper, we propose an inverse differential game method for the online identication of cost function parameters in a shared control situation, where several players simultaneously control a dynamic system.

Differential game with “lifeline” for Pontryagin's control example
Izvestiya Instituta Matematiki i Informatiki Udmurtskogo Gosudarstvennogo Universiteta, 2023The main purpose of this work is to solve one of the main problems of Isaacs, i.e., a game with a “lifeline” for Pontryagin’s control example when both players have the same movement dynamics. To solve this problem, the pursuer is offered a strategy of parallel pursuit (briefly, $\Pi$-strategy), which ensures the fastest convergence of the players and ...

A Differential Game of Evasion with Nonlinear Control
SIAM Journal on Control, 1974A differential game of evasion in which the state is governed by an nth order differential equation is studied. The equation is linear in the state and its derivatives. Control is exercised through a nonlinear forcing term. A sufficient condition for evasion is given and the evasion strategy is obtained as a generalized solution of a Volterra integral ...

The Synthesis of Optimal Control Laws Using Isaacs’ Method for the Solution of Differential Games
Journal of Optimization Theory and Applications, 2021In this paper we advocate for Isaacs’ method for the solution of differential games to be applied to the solution of optimal control problems. To make the argument, the vehicle employed is Pontryagin’s canonical optimal control example, which entails a ...

PACE: A Framework for Learning and Control in Linear Incomplete-Information Differential Games
Conference on Learning for Dynamics & ControlIn this paper, we address the problem of a two-player linear quadratic differential game with incomplete information, a scenario commonly encountered in multi-agent control, human-robot interaction (HRI), and approximation methods for solving general-sum

An experimental adaptive fuzzy controller for differential games
2009 IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man and Cybernetics, 2009In this paper a reinforcement fuzzy learning scheme for robots playing a differential game is derived. A differential game may be considered a Markov decision process in continuous time, with continuous states and actions. The robots receive reinforcements from the environment after they take an action; and this reinforcement is then used to adapt a ...

A Differential Game Approach to Formation Control
IEEE Transactions on Control Systems Technology, 2008This paper presents a differential game approach to formation control of mobile robots. The formation control is formulated as a linear-quadratic Nash differential game through the use of graph theory. Finite horizon cost function is discussed under the open-loop information structure.
