Rheological Properties and in Vitro Digestion of Protein-Rich Thick Milk Incorporated with Hericium erinaceus Powder [PDF]
A high protein food that is easy to swallow for people with dysphagia was prepared by blending milk with Hericium erinaceus (HE) powder, soy protein isolate (SPI) or whey protein (WP) (which was added to obtain a final protein content more than 10% of ...

Current advances for in vitro protein digestibility
Protein is an essential macronutrient in our diet, source of nitrogen and essential amino acids, but the biological utilization of dietary protein depends on its digestibility and the absorption of amino acids and peptides in the gastrointestinal tract. The methods to define the amount and the quality of protein to meet human nutritional needs, such as

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.

Liquid biopsy‐based diagnostic evaluation of hypermethylated CpG sites for ovarian cancer diagnosis
This schematic outlines the workflow from biomarker identification to duplex MethyLight assay validation for epithelial ovarian cancer diagnosis using cfDNA‐based liquid biopsy. Initial screening of hypermethylated CpG candidates (cg02957270, cg10061138 cg00480298, COL2A1) was performed in tissue using ARMS‐PCR, COBRA, qPCR and image analysis. Selected

Synthetic prions generated in vitro are similar to a newly identified subpopulation of PrPSc from sporadic Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease [PDF]
In recent studies, the amyloid form of recombinant prion protein (PrP) encompassing residues 89-230 (rPrP 89-230) produced in vitro induced transmissible prion disease in mice.
