In this study, we aimed for the first time to demonstrate biotin interference in ELISA research kits used in the analysis of pediatric obesity parameters other than routine testing. Our study revealed that biotin interaction may occur in manual ELISA kits and may cause erroneous test results.

Novel cardenolide defences co‐vary with other defences among leaves of Erysimum cheiranthoides, but while caterpillars avoid well‐defended leaves, cardenolides alone cannot explain herbivore behaviour. Abstract Plants invest a substantial fraction of their resources into defence against herbivores, with the highest levels of defence often allocated ...

Three-dimensional structure of human serum albumin [PDF]
The binding locations to human serum albumin (HSA) of several drug molecules were determined at low resolution using crystallographic methods. The principal binding sites are located within subdomains IIA and IIIA.

Multi-spectroscopic investigation of the binding interaction of fosfomycin with bovine serum albumin
The interaction between fosfomycin (FOS) and bovine serum albumin (BSA) has been investigated effectively by multi-spectroscopic techniques under physiological pH 7.4. FOS quenched the intrinsic fluorescence of BSA via static quenching.

Antimicrobial activities of semi polar-nonpolar and polar secondary metabolites of sponge Dysidea pallescens from Hengam Island, Persian Gulf [PDF]
Sponges are the simplest multicellular animals that lack defense mechanisms and rely on chemical defense that have been used by mankind to develop antimicrobial drugs against diseases.

Does anthropogenic nitrogen deposition induce phosphorus limitation in herbivorous insects? [PDF]
Anthropogenic nitrogen deposition has shifted many ecosystems from nitrogen ( N ) limitation to phosphorus ( P ) limitation. Although well documented in plants, no study to date has explored whether N deposition exacerbates P limitation at ...

A critical aspect of chromosomal remodeling in small molecule‐induced multilineage trans‐differentiation(iMT) is elucidated. A dynamic atlas spanning over 35 days profiles terminal trans‐differentiated cells, which reverted to a more youthful state. This study reveals parallels between iMT and other cell fate determination processes, emphasizing an ...
