Abstract In a large sample of adult crab‐eating macaques, we quantified sexual dimorphism in size, shape, and covariance across the whole skull and among anatomical regions of the cranium and mandible. All regions showed significant mean sex differences, but the magnitude of size and shape dimorphism varied substantially.

Aeroplane design study STOL airliner (A71). Part 1- configuration description and data [PDF]
The interest in STOL airliners was reflected in the choice of a 100-118 passenger short range aircraft of this type as the 1971 design project. In addition to the use of the study for detailed investigation by the students of Aircraft Design it also ...

Abstract Macaws are renowned for processing dry, mechanically resistant fruits, yet the species‐level anatomical and functional correlates of this performance remain incompletely resolved. We examined the feeding apparatus of the Blue‐and‐yellow Macaw (Ara ararauna) using an integrated approach that combines osteology, myology, and bite‐force estimates

Adaptive mixing formation control of multiquadrotor unmanned aerial vehicle systems
Abstract This paper presents a distributed adaptive mixing control (AMC) design for formation maintenance of systems of multiquadrotor UAVs (q‐UAVs) during commanded path‐tracking maneuvers. The proposed formation control scheme has a two‐level structure. The high level defines the desired trajectories for rigid and persistent formation acquisition and

Risk‐aware safe reinforcement learning for control of stochastic linear systems
Abstract This paper presents a risk‐aware safe reinforcement learning (RL) control design for stochastic discrete‐time linear systems. Rather than using a safety certifier to myopically intervene with the RL controller, a risk‐informed safe controller is also learned besides the RL controller, and the RL and safe controllers are combined together ...

Diet of bird‐like troodontid dinosaurs: synthesis of a contentious clade
ABSTRACT Troodontidae is a clade of small‐to medium‐sized maniraptoran theropods that mainly lived in Laurasia (modern Asia, North America and Europe) during the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods and are believed to have had a variety of diets. The uniqueness of troodontid teeth suggests that they diverged from the typical flesh‐based diet of non‐avian ...

Green Is the New Gold: Redefining Opulent Lifestyle Through Organic Food Purchases
ABSTRACT Prior studies based on the Theory of Planned Behavior mostly examined the effects of health and environmental concerns on organic food consumption; however, few addressed the paradoxical relationships in the context of opulent or symbolic decorum.
