Dissociation of nitrophenols in pyridine. Thermodynamic dissociation constant and homoconjugation constant.

open access: yesNIPPON KAGAKU KAISHI, 1988

Quantifying H+ exchange from muscle cytosolic energy catabolism using metabolite flux and H+ coefficients from multiple competitive cation binding: New evidence for consideration in established theories

open access: yesPhysiological Reports, 2021
The purpose of this investigation was to present calculations of fractional H+ exchange (~H+e) from the chemical reactions of non‐mitochondrial energy catabolism.

Kinetics of dissociative chemisorption of methane and ethane on Pt(110)-(1X2) [PDF]

open access: yes, 1990
The initial probability of dissociative chemisorption Pr of methane and ethane on the highly corrugated, reconstructed Pt(110)‐(1×2) surface has been measured in a microreactor by counting the number of carbon atoms on the surface following the reaction ...

Is the Quantum Melting of a Polaron Wigner Crystal an Insulator-to-Superconductor transition ?

open access: yes, 2000
On examining the stability of a Wigner Crystal (WC) in an ionic dielectric, two competitive effects due to Polaron formation are found to be important: (i) the screening of the Coulomb forces which destabilizes the crystal, compensated by (ii) the ...

Rates and Equilibria for a Photoisomerizable Antagonist at the Acetylcholine Receptor of Electrophorus Electroplaques [PDF]

open access: yes, 1985
Voltage-jump and light-flash experiments have been performed on isolated Electrophorus electroplaques exposed simultaneously to nicotinic agonists and to the photoisomerizable compound 2,2'-bis-[α-(trimethylammonium)methyl]-azobenzene (2BQ).

Titrating Polyelectrolytes - Variational Calculations and Monte Carlo Simulations

open access: yes, 1995
Variational methods are used to calculate structural and thermodynamical properties of a titrating polyelectrolyte in a discrete representation. The Coulomb interactions are emulated by harmonic repulsive forces, the force constants being used as ...
