Effect of polyp regression and reduction on treatment efficacy in polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy treated with aflibercept

open access: yesScientific Reports
Intravitreal injection of aflibercept (IVA) has successfully treated polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy (PCV), and polyp morphology is an important indicator of treatment efficacy.

Control of Spontaneous HPV16 E6/E7 Expressing Oral Cancer in HLA-A2 (AAD) Transgenic Mice with Therapeutic HPV DNA Vaccine

open access: yesJournal of Biomedical Science, 2021
Background Human Papillomavirus type 16 (HPV16) has been associated with a subset of head and neck cancers. Two HPV encoded oncogenic proteins, E6 and E7, are important for the malignant progression of HPV-associated cancers.

Probing Near‐Field EM Fluctuations in Superparamagnetic CoFeB With NV Quantum Dephasometry

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
We non‐invasively investigate the superparamagnetic spin dynamics of a 1.1 nm CoFeB layer by probing its near‐field EM fluctuations using NV centers‐based quantum dephasometry. Our findings are further supported by theoretical modeling and SQUID‐based magnetization characterization. These results provide critical insight into the magnetization dynamics

HPV-16 E7 Interacts with the Endocytic Machinery via the AP2 Adaptor μ2 Subunit

open access: yesmBio, 2022
Human papillomavirus (HPV) E7 plays a major role in HPV-induced malignancy, perturbing cell cycle regulation, and driving cell proliferation. Major targets of cancer-causing HPV E7 proteins are the pRB family of tumor suppressors, which E7 targets for ...

A Catalytic Osmium Redox Couple Collapses Cancer Redox Balance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A stable Os(III)/Os(IV) redox couple is developed to disrupt the tumor cell redox balance by concurrently catalyzing ROS generation and GSH depletion. Osmium‐treated cells exhibit multiple cell death pathways, including apoptosis, ferroptosis, and immunogenic cell death.

Modified HPV16 E7 Genes as DNA Vaccine against E7-Containing Oncogenic Cells

open access: yesVirology, 2001
Therapeutic vaccines against tumors associated with human papillomaviruses (HPV) should elicit cellular immune responses against early HPV antigens, primarily the oncoproteins E7 and E6. Because of safety concerns, the direct use of an unmodified oncogene is impossible in human DNA vaccination.

Orchestrated Engineered Polyphenol‐Peptide Condensates Coupled With β‐GP Reverses Diabetic Osteoporosis by Remodeling Mitophagy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A multifunctional β‐GP@EGCG‐E7 nanoplatform is engineered by polyphenol–peptide condensation and phosphate loading. Bone‐targeted delivery, antioxidant and anti‐inflammatory activity, and mitophagy restoration are integrated in one system, enabling protection of osteoblasts and endothelial cells and promoting bone regeneration under diabetic ...

HPV16-E7 expression in squamous epithelium creates a local immune suppressive environment via CCL2- and CCL5- mediated recruitment of mast cells. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS Pathogens, 2014
Human Papillomavirus (HPV) 16 E7 protein promotes the transformation of HPV infected epithelium to malignancy. Here, we use a murine model in which the E7 protein of HPV16 is expressed as a transgene in epithelium to show that mast cells are recruited to

High-Risk Human Papillomavirus Oncogenic E6/E7 mRNAs Splicing Regulation

open access: yesFrontiers in Cellular and Infection Microbiology, 2022
High-risk human papillomavirus infection may develop into a persistent infection that is highly related to the progression of various cancers, including cervical cancer and head and neck squamous cell carcinomas.

A Wireless 3D Magneto‐Mechanical Stimulation Platform Drives In Situ Chondrogenic Commitment of Endogenous MSCs

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An intracellular magneto‐mechanical platform utilizing MSC‐targeted nanomotors is developed. After intra‐articular delivery, these nanomotors target endogenous BMSCs and are actuated within lysosomes to execute trans‐planar rotational‐bouncing motions under a rotating‐fluctuating 3D magnetic field, generating amplified mechanical stimulation.
