Th1 cells have long been thought to mediate the pathogenesis of experimental autoimmune encephalitis (EAE), a mouse model for multiple sclerosis. But Langrish et al. now identify a new subset of T cells as the driving force behind brain inflammation in EAE (page 233). Figure CD4+ T cells cultured in vitro with IL-23 (▪), but not IL-12 (

Regional Productivity Differences in the UK and France: From the Micro to the Macro
ABSTRACT We propose a new data resource that attempts to overcome limitations of standard firm‐level datasets for the United Kingdom (like the ARD/ABS) by building on administrative data covering the population of UK firms with at least one employee. We also construct a similar dataset for France and use both datasets to (1) provide some highlights of ...

The Relationship Between Inflammation and Central Nervous System in Multiple Sclerosis
ABSTRACT Aim Multiple sclerosis is an autoimmune demyelination disease that is seen especially in the young population and has a progressive course, causing motor, sensory, and cognitive deficits. In the literature, the pathogenesis of MS disease and the interconnection between the immune and central nervous system in the disease have not been fully ...

The Relationship Between Immune Semaphorins and Myasthenia Gravis
Serum alterations of immune‐related semaphorins in myasthenia gravis. Patients exhibited decreased semaphorin 4A and increased semaphorin 7A levels compared with healthy controls. These changes highlight disturbed immune regulation in myasthenia gravis and support the involvement of semaphorin‐mediated pathways in autoimmune neuromuscular junction ...

The IL‐6/STAT3 axis is crucial in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) via Th17 differentiation. The IL‐6/STAT3 signaling pathway is downregulated as a result of the inhibition of IL‐6 and IL‐6R binding by NHA and NAD. NHA and NAD decrease the Th17 differentiation, which lessens the severity of CIA.
