Dry–Hot Compound Events Driving the 2024 Pantanal Wildfires
International Journal of Climatology, Volume 46, Issue 6, May 2026.Extreme wildfires in the Pantanal in 2024 were driven by a cascade of heatwaves, rainfall deficits and the absence of the annual flood pulse.
