CeO2‐Based Electrocatalysts for the Oxygen Evolution Reaction: Design, Dynamic Mechanisms, and Electrolyte Adaptability

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This Review shows how cerium oxide helps water‐splitting catalysts work better and last longer. It explains how CeO2 tunes electronic structure, oxygen‐vacancy behavior, and surface reconstruction, while adapting to alkaline, acidic, and seawater conditions.

A Fluorogenic Cysteine‐Tetrapeptide Tagging Strategy for Nonperturbative Protein Labeling and Protein–Ligand Interaction Tracking

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A compact Phe‐Cys‐Pro‐Phe (FCPF) tag and an environment‐sensitive SBD‐Cl‐derived probe form a sequence‐selective fluorogenic pair for wash‐free live‐cell protein imaging. This minimally perturbing chemistry allows flexible insertion at termini or loops, produces strong fluorescence upon local microenvironment confinement, supports FRET‐assisted ...

A Biomimetic PLK1 Nanodelivery System Promotes Migrasome‐Mediated Mitocytosis to Restore Efferocytosis and Functional Recovery After Spinal Cord Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
MM‐NPs@PLK1 are formed by encapsulating PLK1 plasmids within CBP5 and coating the nanocomplexes with macrophage membranes. After macrophage‐associated uptake, the NPs@PLK1 enter the cytoplasm and release the PLK1‐encoding plasmid in response to elevated intracellular ROS levels.

Bacterial Geosmin Biosynthesis is Compartmentalized Inside a Two‐Component Protein Shell

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reports the discovery that geosmin biosynthesis is compartmentalized inside a two‐component protein shell in many bacteria. Sequestration of geosmin synthase inside a Family 2B encapsulin nanocompartment improves geosmin yield and increases enzyme stability as compared to the free enzyme.
