Tbx20 Is Required in Mid-Gestation Cardiomyocytes and Plays a Central Role in Atrial Development. [PDF]
RationaleMutations in the transcription factor TBX20 (T-box 20) are associated with congenital heart disease. Germline ablation of Tbx20 results in abnormal heart development and embryonic lethality by embryonic day 9.5.

Identification of early onset pre-eclampsia related key genes via bioinformatic analysis
Background: Pre-eclampsia is a common pregnancy-specific disease. In this study, we used comprehensive bioinformatics to screen key genes related to the development of pre-eclampsia and explore their potential connections. Methods: Two data sets GSE44711

The possible molecular mechanisms of bisphenol A action on porcine early embryonic development
Bisphenol A (BPA) is an environmental contaminant widely used in the plastic industry. BPA has been demonstrated to be an endocrine disruptor and has an adverse effect on the embryonic development of mammals.

Inhibition of DRP1 Impedes Zygotic Genome Activation and Preimplantation Development in Mice
Mitochondrion plays an indispensable role during preimplantation embryo development. Dynamic-related protein 1 (DRP1) is critical for mitochondrial fission and controls oocyte maturation.

Single-cell RNA sequencing identifies distinct mouse medial ganglionic eminence cell types. [PDF]
Many subtypes of cortical interneurons (CINs) are found in adult mouse cortices, but the mechanism generating their diversity remains elusive. We performed single-cell RNA sequencing on the mouse embryonic medial ganglionic eminence (MGE), the major ...

Characterizing the zebrafish organizer: microsurgical analysis at the early-shield stage [PDF]
The appearance of the embryonic shield, a slight thickening at the leading edge of the blastoderm during the formation of the germ ring, is one of the first signs of dorsoventral polarity in the zebrafish embryo.

ERBIN limits epithelial cell plasticity via suppression of TGF‐β signaling
In breast and lung cancer patients, low ERBIN expression correlates with poor clinical outcomes. Here, we show that ERBIN inhibits TGF‐β‐induced epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in NMuMG breast and A549 lung adenocarcinoma cell lines. ERBIN suppresses TGF‐β/SMAD signaling and reduces TGF‐β‐induced ERK phosphorylation.
