Alternative Developmental Toxicity Screening Methods Using Chick Embryo‐Based Models
ABSTRACT Nonclinical developmental toxicity studies are used to investigate the potential toxicities of drugs and chemical candidates on normal embryonic and fetal development during pregnancy, generally using mammalian laboratory animals such as rats and rabbits.

Hydroxypropyl‐β‐cyclodextrin (HPβCD)–N,N‐diethyl‐meta‐toluamide (DEET) complex extended tick repellency to 168 h. Full protection against Aedes aegypti for 7 h with HPβCD‐DEET. HPβCD reduced DEET release and skin retention significantly. No embryotoxicity observed below 325 mg L−1 in zebrafish model.

Zebrafish as a Successful Animal Model for Screening Toxicity of Medicinal Plants
The zebrafish (Danio rerio) is used as an embryonic and larval model to perform in vitro experiments and developmental toxicity studies. Zebrafish may be used to determine the toxicity of samples in early screening assays, often in a high-throughput ...

ABSTRACT Pesticides and pharmaceuticals are among the most common chemical groups in waterbodies and soils, and their universal distribution raises concerns about potential adverse effects on nontarget organisms and humans. Reproductive output disruption is of particular concern, as it transposes effects from the individual to the next generations at ...

Evaluation of Embryotoxicity of Radix scutellariae Based on Embryonic Stem Test
Purpose: To determine the potential embryotoxicity of Radix scutellariae (RS) extract using an embryonic stem cell test (EST) and to evaluate its effect on the differentiation of mouse embryonic stem (ES) cells. Methods: All the test samples were obtained

Determination of Embryotoxic effects of Atipamezole using in ovo model
Atipamezole is a specific α2-adrenergic receptor antagonist, and there exists insufficient information on its use during pregnancy. The aim of this study was to determine the embryotoxic activity of Atipamezole through an in ovo method. During the first

ABSTRACT Long‐term exposure to low‐dose food contact materials (FCMs) has raised concerns regarding developmental toxicity. In the present study, we prioritized FCMs with potential developmental toxicity using a weight‐of‐evidence computational model, which predicted 127 chemicals to be of high concern.
