Memory of Chirality in Radical Addition–Translocation–Cyclization Cascades

open access: yesHelvetica Chimica Acta, Volume 109, Issue 5, May 2026.
Radical addition–translocation–cyclization cascades of chiral alkynes show striking memory of chirality (MoC), with strong retention of configuration when fast, polarity favored cyclization are involved. The most effective system employs a highly electron‐poor pentafluorobenzenesulfonyl group.

Rhodium‐Catalyzed Regioselective Addition of N‐Hydroxyl Imides to Internal Alkynes

open access: yesIsrael Journal of Chemistry, Volume 66, Issue 3, May 2026.
An intermolecular rhodium‐catalyzed regioselective addition of N‐hydroxyl imides to internal alkynes leads to branched O‐allyl compounds, which can be readily transformed to allylic alcohols and O‐allyl hydroxylamines after deprotection. Isotopic labelling experiments suggest a plausible reaction mechanism.

Isocitrate Dehydrogenase Mutations in Cancer: From Bench to Bedside Applications

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 5, May 2026.
Mutant isocitrate dehydrogenase affects multiple cancer types. Alterations in IDH1 and IDH2 result in abnormal enzyme activity, leading to the overproduction of D‐2‐hydroxyglutarate (D‐2HG). This metabolite disrupts cellular metabolism and epigenetic regulation, driving cancer initiation, progression, and metastasis.

Insights Into Bifenthrin Stereoisomers and Their Regulatory Implications

open access: yesChemistryOpen, Volume 15, Issue 5, May 2026.
Bifenthrin is a pyrethroid insecticide with two stereogenic centers, generating four stereoisomers with distinct physicochemical and electronic properties. A combined crystallographic and density functional theory study, supported by Hirshfeld surface, quantum theory of atoms in molecules, natural bond orbital, and reactivity descriptor analyses ...
