A new class of catalytically highly efficient bifunctional imidazopyridine (ImPy)‐based gold(I) complexes was synthesized. The ligands are based on tetrahedral C‐stereogenic centers derived from straightforward chiral pool synthesis. Unprecedented cycloisomerization products of 1,6‐enynols were observed in excellent enantioselectivity up to 99:1 er ...

We employed a systematic quantum chemistry‐based computational approach for simulating chiral HPLC, incorporating high‐level DFT methods. For the popular polysaccharide‐based CSPs, 90%$\%$ of determined elution orders were computed correctly. Abstract We assess the capability of modern quantum chemical methods to simulate enantioseparation on chiral ...

Mono‐ IrIII versus heterobimetallic IrIII‐AuI complexes for circularly polarized luminescence
Fundamental rationalization of the structural–circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) activity relationship is a challenging task. Herein, a pair of enantiopure, heterobimetallic IrIII–AuI complexes IrAu‐4 featuring chirality‐at‐metal is thoroughly investigated by means of spectroscopical and computational techniques, also including spin‐orbital ...

We report a new generation of highly active and readily available homogeneous titanium catalysts for the epoxidation of non‐activated olefins with aqueous hydrogen peroxide. Key feature is the introduction of pentafluorophenyl substituents into a salan ligand derived from cis‐1,2‐diaminocyclohexane (cis‐DACH).

Anthraquinone Sulfonates as Water‐Soluble Photocatalysts: Synthetic Applications and Perspectives
The development of photochemistry in water is rapidly advancing, and the demand for water‐soluble photocatalysts is increasing. Accordingly, anthraquinone sulfonates are interesting options for the activation of organic molecules through H‐atom transfer, proton‐coupled electron transfer, or the generation of reactive oxygen species.
