Flavin Biosynthesis Enhances Extracellular Electron Transfer in Bioengineered Escherichia coli
Microbial electronics are promising for energy, sensing, environmental, and synthesis applications. E. coli are engineered with extracellular electron transfer (EET) pathways from a microbe that naturally produces current to enable bioelectronics based on E. coli.

Triphenylamine‐based dyes L0‐TA and L1‐TA are synthesized and electrochemically characterized to assess their suitability for photocatalytic hydrogen production via water splitting. Crystallographic simulations confirm their structural compatibility with the MIL‐125 framework, allowing incorporation without steric clashes.

ABSTRACT Hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) due to insufficient oxygen or blood flow to the brain can result in inflammation, impaired neurodevelopment, or death. Changes to microdomain lipid composition may contribute to altered structure and function of key regulatory processes; however, knowledge regarding changes to membrane lipid composition ...

CD and FTIR Spectroscopic Studies of Carbohydrate-modified Opioid Peptides [PDF]
The variety of vital functions played by glycoproteins in many physiological and pathological processes inspired the design of glycopeptides and the study of the effect of glycosylation on conformation.

Use of quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry for proposal of transformation products of the herbicide bromacil after water chlorination [PDF]
The herbicide bromacil has been extensively used in the Spanish Mediterranean region, and although plant protection products containing bromacil have been withdrawn by the European Union, this compound is still frequently detected in surface and ground ...

Kinetics of chymotrypsin- and papain-catalysed synthesis of [leucine]enkephalin and [methionine]enkephalin [PDF]
The proteinase-catalysed synthesis of [Leu]enkephalin and [Met]enkephalin was studied kinetically. N alpha-t-Butoxycarbonyl-amino acids and peptides or their ethyl esters served as acyl donors, and amino acid phenylhydrazides were used as acyl acceptors.

ABSTRACT Background Obtaining isotopic data on soluble organic compounds, such as amino acids, in extraterrestrial samples is crucial for understanding their origins, prebiotic chemistry, and potential contamination. Conventional GC‐IRMS requires grams of material to measure isotopic compositions, limiting the analysis of low‐concentration organics in ...

Double labelling immunohistochemical characterization of autonomic sympathetic neurons innervating the sow retractor clitoridis muscle [PDF]
Retrograde neuronal tracing and immunohistochemical methods were used to define the neurochemical content of sympathetic neurons projecting to the sow retractor clitoridis muscle (RCM). Differently from the other smooth muscles of genital organs, the RCM
