Synthesis of enniatin B

Experientia, 1963
Die Struktur von Enniatin B, eines antimikrobiellen Wirkstoffes aus Fusarienstammen (ETH, Zurich), wird durch Synthese als die eines Cyclohexapeptolids bewiesen (vgl. X).

A molecular orbital study on the conformation of enniatin B

Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 1973
Abstract Molecular orbital calculations using the PCILO method are performed on the conformation of the symmetrical form of enniatin B. The values of the Φ and ψ angles found for the preferred conformation agree closely with the results of X-ray study of the K + complex of enniatin B.

Conformation of enniatine B in nonpolar solvents

Chemistry of Natural Compounds, 1974
1. The relative positions of the CαH and N-Ch3 signals in the1H NMR spectra of different conformers of enniatine B have been evaluated. 2. The1H NMR spectra [tri-(N-methyl-D-valyl-Cα-d)] enniatine B have been investigated. 3. The spatial structure of enniatine B in nonpolar media has been determined.

In vitro phase I metabolism of the depsipeptide enniatin B

Analytical and Bioanalytical Chemistry, 2011
The enniatins are a group of more than 20 cyclic depsipeptides from fungi with numerous biological effects. Enniatin B is commonly one of the principal analogues in species of the genus Fusarium, known to have ionophoric, antibiotic and insecticidal activity. In the present study, enniatin B was incubated with rat, dog and human liver microsomes.

Antifungal effects of the bioactive compounds enniatins A, A1, B, B1

Toxicon, 2010
To produce enniatin (ENs), Fusarium tricinctum CECT 20150 was grown in a liquid medium of potato (PDB), being mycotoxin purified by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with a reverse phase semipreparative column using a mobile phase of acetonitrile/water using gradient condition. The purity of the ENs fractions was verified by analytical HPLC

Effects of crystal packing and hydration on the conformation of enniatin B

Acta Crystallographica Section B Structural Science, 1987
The effects of crystal packing forces and of hydration on the conformations of the ion carrier enniatin B, cyclo-{O-CH[-CH(CH3)2]-C'O'-N(CH3)-CH[CH(CH3)2]-C'O'-}3, in two different crystal structures belonging to the trigonal space group R3 have been analyzed theoretically by the empirical forcefield method.

Interaction effects of enniatin B, deoxinivalenol and alternariol in Caco-2 cells

Toxicology Letters, 2016
Enniatin B (ENN B), deoxinivalenol (DON) and alternariol (AOH) are secondary metabolites of filamentous fungi. These mycotoxins are contaminants of vegetables and cereals. They are cytotoxic and their effects are enhanced by their mixtures. The objectives of this study were to compare the cytotoxicity of ENN B, DON and AOH alone or in combination in ...

Extraction and DFT study on the complexation of the strontium cation with enniatin B

Chemical Physics, 2014
Abstract By using extraction experiments and γ -activity measurements, the extraction constant corresponding to the equilibrium Sr 2+ (aq) + 2A − (aq) +  1 (nb)  ⇄ 1  · Sr 2+ (nb) + 2A − (nb) occurring in the two-phase water–nitrobenzene system (A −  = picrate, 1  = enniatin B; aq = aqueous phase, nb = nitrobenzene phase) was evaluated as ...

Topochemical Approach in Studies of the Structure–Activity Relation: Enantio-enniatin B

Nature, 1967
THE interaction of a biologically active substance with a selective receptor (for instance, substrate and enzyme) to cause a certain physiological effect is chemically complex, requiring not only a certain minimum of steric congruity of the molecules but also a given electron density distribution in the interacting functional centres.
