Eotaxin: a potent eosinophil chemoattractant cytokine detected in a guinea pig model of allergic airways inflammation. [PDF]
Eosinophil accumulation is a prominent feature of allergic inflammatory reactions, such as those occurring in the lung of the allergic asthmatic, but the endogenous chemoattractants involved have not been identified.

Cancer cell‐intrinsic SMYD3 orchestrates an immunosuppressive microenvironment and impairs the response to PD‐1 blockade by reprogramming immune cells landscape in the tumor microenvironment of clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC). The immunomodulatory function of SMYD3 is mediated via the SREBP1/CD47 pathway.

Airway responses and inflammation in subjects with asthma after four days of repeated high-single-dose allergen challenge [PDF]
Background: Both standard and low-dose allergen provocations are an established tool in asthma research to improve our understanding of the pathophysiological mechanism of allergic asthma.

Eosinophils accumulate in high numbers in the lungs of asthmatic patients. These cells have the ability to induce tissue damage, a capacity that relates to their traditional role in host defense against parasitic worms. On the other hand, eosinophils produce growth factors associated with tissue repair and remodeling, notably TGF-beta1.

Loss of NR2F6 Protects from Salmonella Typhimurium Infection
Loss of nuclear receptor NR2F6 reduces tissue‐resident macrophage populations. Nr2f6‐deficient mice are protected from weight loss and bacterial load during infection with Salmonella Typhimurium. Pro‐inflammatory cytokines and iron levels are altered in infected Nr2f6‐deficient mice.

Self‐Adjusting Engineered Probiotic for Targeted Tumor Colonization and Local Therapeutics Delivery
Zou et al. developed an engineered strain of Escherichia coli Nissle 1917 with precise targeting abilities for colonization and on‐demand payload release. The engineered probiotic survives and embolizes tumors only in the presence of more than 5 mM L‐lactate. Furthermore, the introduction of an α‐hemolysin circuit enhances its anti‐tumor effect.

Enhancement of OVA-induced murine lung eosinophilia by co-exposure to contamination levels of LPS in Asian sand dust and heated dust. [PDF]
BackgroundA previous study has shown that the aggravation of Asian sand dust (ASD) on ovalbumin (OVA)-induced lung eosinphilia was more severe in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-rich ASD than in SiO2-rich ASD.

The LDH‐H3K18La‐Nur77 Axis Potentiates Immune Escape in Small Cell Lung Cancer
Lactate from SCLC tumors induces H3K18 lactylation in naïve CD8+ T cells, upregulating Nurr77 and enhancing tonic TCR signaling. This leads to T cell hyporesponsiveness to stimulation, impairing antitumor immunity and reducing immunotherapy efficacy.

気管支喘息症例における末梢血白血球のロイコトリエンC4産生能とロイコトリエン受容体括抗薬プランルカストの効果に関する検討 [PDF]
The correlation between the efficacy of 4-weeks administration with pranlukast, leukotriene receptor antagonist, and LTs generation by peripheral leukocytes were evaluated in 18 patients with mild-persistent asthma.
