Neuropathy target esterase [PDF]
Neuropathy target esterase (NTE) is an integral membrane protein present in all neurons and in some non-neural-cell types of vertebrates. Recent data indicate that NTE is involved in a cell-signalling pathway controlling interactions between neurons and accessory glial cells in the developing nervous system.

This study employs sc‐RNA sequencing, genetics, and phenotyping to systematically map the cell‐type‐specific immune responses triggered by flg22. It reveals FLS2‐dependent transcriptional reprogramming in epidermal and mesophyll cells, and uncovers crosstalk between immune and hypoxia signaling pathways.

Stereoselective Biotransformation: Transfer of Learning to Advance Drug Metabolism and Biocatalysis
Understanding stereoselective biotransformations has implications for predicting drug disposition and response and may also inspire novel biocatalytic and biomimetic strategies to address challenges in metabolite and API synthesis. ABSTRACT Chirality is an important determinant of drug action, as enantiomers can exhibit markedly different ...

Structure-guided protein engineering increases enzymatic activities of the SGNH family esterases
Background Esterases and lipases hydrolyze short-chain esters and long-chain triglycerides, respectively, and therefore play essential roles in the synthesis and decomposition of ester bonds in the pharmaceutical and food industries.

Itch‐induced tick removal (IITR): An acquired neuroimmune mechanism, itch‐induced tick removal, develops after repeated tick exposure, mobilizing T cells and macrophages at the tick bite site to trigger a rapid scratching response that facilitates timely tick removal within a critical window that preces the transmission of many tick‐borne pathogens ...

SJNPs co‐deliver JHU083 and spermine to reprogram macrophage–neuron immunometabolic crosstalk in sepsis. By suppressing pro‐inflammatory M1 polarization and promoting NGF‐mediated neurotrophic signaling, SJNPs preserve pulmonary neuronal integrity, alleviate lung injury, and improve survival in murine sepsis models.
