High‐Throughput Encapsulation of Stem Cells: Characterizing Dynamic Culture Variability With a Millifluidic Approach

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A high throughput millifluidic encapsulation platform is engineered and standardized. The system's output allows the monitoring of cell expansion in strong dynamic conditions. High polymer crosslinking leads to higher cell proliferation and lower cell growth on microgel's surface.

An extracellular vesicle based hypothesis for the genesis of the polycystic kidney diseases

open access: yesExtracellular Vesicle
Autosomal dominant polycystic kidney (ADPKD) disease is the commonest genetic cause of kidney failure (affecting 1:800 individuals) and is due to heterozygous germline mutations in either of two genes, PKD1 and PKD2.

Encapsulation of Small Extracellular Vesicles into Selectively Disassemblable Shells of PEGylated Metal‐Phenolic Networks

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Small extracellular vesicles (sEVs) are encapsulated into protective shells composed of metal‐phenolic networks (MPNs) and secondary poly(ethylene glycol) layers. This surface modification approach enhances the storage stability of sEVs while maintaining their integrity and functionality. The shells can be selectively disassembled under mild conditions.

Role of Extracellular vesicle microRNAs and RNA binding proteins on glioblastoma dynamics and therapeutics development

open access: yesExtracellular Vesicle
The intricate interplay between extracellular vesicles (EVs), microRNAs, and RNA binding proteins (RBPs) constitutes a crucial mechanism in glioblastoma pathogenesis. The regulated sorting of microRNAs into EVs, influenced by RBPs and specific RNA motifs,
