Exosomes promote pre-metastatic niche formation in ovarian cancer. [PDF]
Ovarian cancer is one of the most common gynecological malignancies. Upon initial diagnosis, the majority of patients present with widespread metastatic growth within the peritoneal cavity. This metastatic growth occurs in stages, with the formation of a

Microfluidic electro‐viscoelastic manipulation of extracellular vesicles
The electro‐viscoelastic manipulation as a potential method for separation of particles based on size. The particles introduced as a sheath flow migrate to the channel center under the influence of simultaneously applied electric field and pressure driven flow.

Therapeutic Potential of Extracellular Vesicles [PDF]
Extracellular vesicles (EV) have emerged as important mediators of intercellular communication. By their origin, we can find vesicles derived from plasma membrane such as microvesicles, ectosomes, and membrane particles or exosomes, which originate in the endosomal membrane compartment.

Extracellular vesicle lyophilization for enhanced distribution to the point of care
Therapeutic extracellular vesicles (EVs) are in clinical trials and if successful, EVs wider use will be largely affected by costs to patients/insurers and accessibility.

Cell Propagation of Cholera Toxin CTA ADP-Ribosylating Factor by Exosome Mediated Transfer [PDF]
In this study, we report how the cholera toxin (CT) A subunit (CTA), the enzyme moiety responsible for signaling alteration in host cells, enters the exosomal pathway, secretes extracellularly, transmits itself to a cell population.

Here, we introduced an intermittent electrical stimulation protocol mimicking the episodic nature of real‐life exercise in vitro by alternating low‐ and high‐frequency stimulation. In comparison with widely used continuous stimulation, it enhanced the rate of glucose and fatty acid oxidation, but not the myokine release.

Systematic characterization of mammalian extracellular vesicles using nano-flow cytometry
Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are nanoscale, membrane-enclosed particles that transport bioactive cargo between cells and are increasingly studied for their potential in diagnostic and therapeutic applications.

Mitochondria‐associated membranes (MAMs) are contact sites between the endoplasmic reticulum and mitochondria that regulate calcium signaling, lipid metabolism, autophagy, and stress responses. This review outlines their molecular organization, roles in cellular homeostasis, and how dysfunction drives neurodegeneration, metabolic disease, cancer, and ...

Extracellular vesicle-based targeted RNA therapies against cancer
Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are nanoscale vesicles released by cells and serve as natural carriers for RNAs, DNAs, proteins, and lipids that mediate intercellular communication.
