The Antidiabetic Potential of Alpha‐Mangostin: A Review of Preclinical and Clinical Evidence
Alpha‐mangostin is a compound from the pericarp of Garcinia mangostana. The antidiabetic effects of alpha‐mangostin include enhancing insulin secretion, improving glucose uptake through GLUT receptor upregulation, reducing oxidative stress and inflammation, promoting wound healing, reducing HbA1C, reducing HOMA‐IR index, and decreased mRNA expressions ...

Alteration of Regulation of Fas/FasL Mediated Apoptosis in Gastric Cancer [PDF]
Gastric cancer is an important neoplasticdisease in all around the world because its highincidence and mortality. Otherwise, apoptosis isa key process of programmed cell death duringembryogenesis, regulation of immune system, and holding the tissue ...

Pharmacologic stem cell based intervention as a new approach to osteoporosis treatment in rodents. [PDF]
Osteoporosis is the most prevalent skeletal disorder, characterized by a low bone mineral density (BMD) and bone structural deterioration, leading to bone fragility fractures. Accelerated bone resorption by osteoclasts has been established as a principal

Identification of the ligand binding site in Fas (CD95) and analysis of Fas-ligand interactions [PDF]
Fas (CD95), a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily, and its ligand (FasL), a tumor necrosis factor-like protein, are intensely studied because their interaction on the cell surface is critical for the induction of programmed cell death (apoptosis) and the regulation of immune responses.

Ac‐SDKP modulates apoptosis via HSP27 and the FAS/FASL and mitochondrial axes
Schematic diagram of Ac‐SDKP regulating the FAS/FASL and mitochondrial apoptosis pathways via HSP27. Ac‐SDKP inhibits HSP27 expression, activates the FAS/FASL pathway and Caspase‐3 signaling, increases Caspase‐8 and Caspase‐3 expression, and induces cell apoptosis.

Fas-Fas Ligand System in Silicosis Patients.
The exposure to silica and related substances such as silicate (e.g. chrysotile asbestos; 3MgO.2SiO2.H2O) or silicone (-R2Si-O-)n, used in plastic surgery, has been known to induce autoimmune diseases. The pathogenesis of autoimmunity induced by such environmental factors, however, needs to be clarified.

Differential Expressions of Fas and Fas Ligand in Human Placenta [PDF]
To investigate the expressions of Fas and Fas ligand (FasL) in human placenta, we studied the expressions of Fas and FasL in placenta with RT-PCR, immunoblotting and immunostaining. We observed amplified products of Fas and FasL transcripts, the band of Fas (52 kDa) and multiple bands of FasL (42-52 kDa) in placenta.

Efficacy, safety and cost‐effectiveness of CAR‐T therapy
CAR T‐cells demonstrate high efficacy in blood cancers, including ALL, MM and DLBCL. Innovations target solid tumours despite challenges such as antigen escape. Combination therapies enhance the delivery and infiltration of CAR T cells. Toxicity, cost and resistance remain major barriers to clinical use.
