An investigation of delay fault testing for multi voltage design

open access: yes, 2009
Multi Voltage Design (MVD) has been successfully applied in contemporary processors as a technique to reduce energy consumption. This work is aimed at finding a generalised delay testing method for MVD.

Gate-sizing-based single Vdd test for bridge defects in multi-voltage designs

open access: yes, 2010
The use of multiple voltage settings for dynamic power management is an effective design technique. Recent research has shown that testing for resistive bridging faults in such designs requires more than one voltage setting for 100% fault coverage ...

SAT-based Formal Verification of Fault Injection Countermeasures for Cryptographic Circuits

open access: yesTransactions on Cryptographic Hardware and Embedded Systems
Fault injection attacks represent a type of active, physical attack against cryptographic circuits. Various countermeasures have been proposed to thwart such attacks, however, the design and implementation of which are intricate, error-prone, and ...

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

A new iterative method for fault currents calculation which models arc resistance at the fault location

open access: yes, 2006
In order to calculate fault currents in distribution systems accurately, the fault model must also include the electrical arc existing at the fault point and playing an important role in the fault currents calculation.

Proteasome inhibitor, ixazomib prevents topoisomerase‐I degradation and reverses irinotecan resistance in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ixazomib inhibits proteasome‐mediated degradation of topoisomerase I induced by irinotecan, thereby restoring drug sensitivity and promoting tumor cell death in colorectal cancer. Irinotecan, a topoisomerase I (topoI) inhibitor, is widely used for colorectal cancer, but resistance remains a major clinical challenge.

Achieving Representative Faultloads in Software Fault Injection

open access: yes, 2011
Given the complexity of modern software systems and its pervasiveness in many aspects of our lives, software faults (i.e., bugs) are a dangerous threat.

A novel travelling‐wave direction criterion for hybrid multi‐terminal HVDC system

open access: yesIET Generation, Transmission & Distribution
Fast and accurate fault direction criteria are crucial for efficient protection in hybrid multi‐terminal HVDC transmission systems. The current variation method is commonly used to identify fault direction, but it is affected by fault resistance and ...

Circulating tumor cell viability during and after radiotherapy mirrors treatment response in cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Radiotherapy (RT) response depends on the DNA repair capacity of tumor and host cells. We show that circulating tumor cell (CTC) counts and apoptosis rates before and after RT predict treatment response and outcome, which can be accessed via easily accessible liquid biopsy approaches. Arcing High Impedance Fault Detection Using Real Coded Genetic Algorithm

open access: yes, 2007
Safety and reliability are two of the most important aspects of electric power supply systems. Sensitivity and robustness to detect and isolate faults can influence the safety and reliability of such systems.
