Flavonoid Glycosides from Sedum bulbiferum.

open access: yesChemical & pharmaceutical bulletin, 2018
The MeOH extract from dried whole Sedum bulbiferum MAKINO (Crassulaceae) plants yielded 34 compounds, including six new flavonoid glycosides and 28 known compounds. The structures of new compounds were established using NMR, Mass spectroscopic analysis and chemical evidence.

Effect of pH on recovery efficiency and anthocyanin composition of Clitoria ternatea extracts with application as lipid antioxidants in food preservation

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 5, May 2026.
pH significantly affects the extraction efficiency of TPC TAC and the extracted anthocyanin components. pH 3 and pH 7 yield the highest extraction efficiency and antioxidant activity. Extracts at pH 7 are suitable as blue color additives for neutral pH foods and as good antioxidants for fat‐containing gummies.

Temporal Dynamics of Phytochemicals in Selected Medicinal Plants Across Gandaki Province, Nepal

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 5, May 2026.
A comparative phytochemical analysis of selected medicinal plants shows a decrease in antioxidant properties with temporal changes; furthermore, there is no significant relationship between antioxidant activity and geographical location. ABSTRACT Many phytochemicals, including phenols and flavonoids, are valued for their anti‐inflammatory, antioxidant,

Enhanced Bioactivity of Puerariae Radix‐ Hovenia Seed Extracts Through Lactiplantibacillus plantarum and Lacticaseibacillus paracasei Co‐Fermentation: Impact on Alcoholic Liver Injury and Macrophage Polarization

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 5, May 2026.
Puerariae Radix and Hovenia Seed were co‐fermented with Lactiplantibacillus plantarum and Lacticaseibacillus paracasei to produce PHF. In a mouse model of alcohol‐induced liver injury, PHF intervention alleviated liver damage. The underlying mechanism may be related to the regulation of macrophage polarization.

Comprehensive Evaluation of Fructus Tsaoko, Seeds of Tsaoko Fructus and Ginger Made Seeds of Tsaoko Fructus Based on Drug‐Like Compounds and Aroma Analysis

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 5, May 2026.
This study mainly consists of two parts. First, after screening for drug‐like metabolites via LC–MS and GC–MS, a comprehensive evaluation model was established using a principal component analysis‐based weighted scoring method, by which the drug‐likeness ranking of three samples was determined.
