Strong gate coupling of high-Q nanomechanical resonators

open access: yes, 2010
The detection of mechanical vibrations near the quantum limit is a formidable challenge since the displacement becomes vanishingly small when the number of phonon quanta tends towards zero.

On Flc-Focal Curves According Flc-Frame

open access: yesAsian Research Journal of Mathematics
In this study, we first characterize focal curves by examining the FLC-frame in three-dimensional Euclidean space. We then derive the relationship between the curvatures of a curve and the focal curvatures. Finally, we present some new conditions for curves with constant curvatures in \(\mathbb{E}^3\).

Comorbidities and mutations including single‐ and multihit TET2 mutations in relation to outcome in chronic myelomonocytic leukaemia—A population‐based study

open access: yesBritish Journal of Haematology, EarlyView.
In a population‐based cohort of 149 chronic myelomonocytic leukaemia (CMML) patients, multihit TET2 mutation was associated with older age, lower LDH and less leucocytosis. We found no association with autoimmune disease or thrombosis. Patients with multihit TET2 mutation had a significantly longer overall survival than the patients without or with one

Modelling of Metallurgical Processes Using Chaos Theory and Hybrid Computational Intelligence [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
The main objective of the present work is to develop a framework for modelling and controlling of a real world multi-input and multi-output (MIMO) continuously drifting metallurgical process, which is shown to be a complex system.

Requirement for Ergosterol in Berberine Tolerance Underlies Synergism of Fluconazole and Berberine against Fluconazole-Resistant Candida albicans Isolates

open access: yesFrontiers in Cellular and Infection Microbiology, 2017
Candida albicans is one of the most common fungal pathogens. Our previous study demonstrated that concomitant use of berberine (BBR) and fluconazole (FLC) showed a synergistic action against FLC-resistant C.

Fluconazole induces ROS in Cryptococcus neoformans and contributes to DNA damage in vitro.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2018
Pathogenic basidiomycetous yeast, Cryptococcus neoformans, causes fatal meningitis in immunocompromised individuals. Fluconazole (FLC) is a fungistatic drug commonly administered to treat cryptococcosis. Unfortunately, FLC-resistant strains characterized
