Well-dispersive K2OKCl alkaline catalyst derived from waste banana peel for biodiesel synthesis
In this work, a novel alkaline catalyst was synthesized by an economical and effective method of roasting waste banana peel. From XRD, FT-IR, SEM, EDS, TGA and CO2-TPD characterization, it was proved that the calcined banana peel catalyst showed the ...

A Principal-Agent Model for Investigating Traceability Systems Incentives on Food Safety [PDF]
This article investigates the effects of contingent payments and a traceability system's expected traceback rate of success on the food safety effort exerted by raw material suppliers. This sheds light on when contingent payments and the reliability of a

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.

Postbiotics- Functional Food Materials
Postbiotics are biologically active probiotic microorganisms that have produced non-viable bacterial products in the host. Eating a diet high in probiotic and prebiotic foods may help to ensure that the gut has an appropriate supply of these essential nutrients because postbiotics are produced when probiotics feed on prebiotics.

Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

Targeted therapy was evaluated in SHH medulloblastoma using neuroepithelial stem cell (NES) and tumor‐derived NES‐like (tNES) models in 2D monolayers and 3D spheroids. PI3K, AKT, and CDK4/6 inhibitors had minimal effects in NES but markedly reduced viability and growth and induced apoptosis in tNES cells, revealing distinct therapeutic vulnerabilities.

Multiscale monitoring of oleogels during thermal transition
Thermal transitions, such as crystallization or relaxation, in heterogeneous materials are complex and occur at different length and time scales. Several devices are necessary for their analysis, leading to varying boundary conditions and multiple ...
