Predation dynamics of Rhodeus sinensis on Procambarus clarkii larvae: Behavioral patterns and aquatic plant refuge effects in crayfish aquaculture

open access: yesAquaculture Reports
Non-target fish are frequently present in crayfish aquaculture systems, yet limited research has explored their predatory impacts on crayfish larvae.

Cyclic azapeptide CD36 ligand attenuates cardiac injury and reduces long‐chain fatty acid accumulation after myocardial ischemia–reperfusion in mice

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
In a murine model of myocardial ischemia and reperfusion (MI/R), the CD36 azapeptide ligand MPE‐298 reduces cardiac injury and transiently lowers left ventricular long‐chain fatty acids (LCFAs) accumulation 3 h after reperfusion, accompanied by a decrease of oxidative stress and inflammation‐associated genes' expression in the heart and adipose tissue.

Macrophage-targeted liposomes as a nano-immunomodulator for rheumatoid arthritis: Harnessing the therapeutic potential of white asparagus polysaccharides

open access: yesFood Hydrocolloids for Health
Therapeutic delivery to inflamed joints remains a critical challenge in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) management due to systemic clearance and nonspecific biodistribution. Within the RA synovial microenvironment, macrophage activation as a central pathogenic

UiO‐66 metal–organic frameworks in biomedicine: From structural tunability to bioimaging, photodiagnostics, and photodynamic cancer therapy

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
UiO‐66(Zr) metal–organic frameworks are chemically stable, biocompatible, and highly tunable nanomaterials. Their modular structure enables controlled drug delivery, multimodal bioimaging, and light‐activated photodynamic therapy, supporting integrated diagnostic and therapeutic (theranostic) applications in cancer and biomedical research.

Multi-Omics Analysis of Stress Responses for Industrial Yeast During Beer Post-Fermentation

open access: yesFermentation
Intracellular metabolites markedly change in yeast during fermentation, especially under various stresses in beer post-fermentation. To address the current limitations in understanding the regulatory mechanisms in this complex environment, industrial ...

Aquaporin‐3 and aquaporin‐5 impact the development of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma spheroids

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Schematic representation of the role of aquaporin‐3 (AQP3) and aquaporin‐5 (AQP5) in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). Both proteins are upregulated in PDAC and are associated with tumor progression and metastatic potential. Silencing AQP3 or AQP5 in PDAC spheroids results in decreased diameter, area, and overall growth, underscoring their key ...
